Homemaking is no longer just cooking and sewing. Our course of study includes home beautification, flower arrangements, child care, home care of the sick, preservation of food, food preparation, clothing, good grooming, and safety in the kitchen. We learn by doing. I MISS BARBARA BOMBA B.S., Southwest Texas Teachers College During the summer we have a nursery school for children from 3 to 6 years of age, where girls observe child behavior. For this and the other phases of Homemaking, where you work for 100 hours and keep account of your work, you receive V2 credit toward graduation. The only pre- requisite for summer work is having had Homemaking the year before.
