SPANISH I Building a vocabulary Study of correct pronunciation Mastery of elementary principles of grammar Study of sentence structure and Spanish composi- tion Use of idiomatic expressions Study of the culture of Spanish-American Drill in the spoken language I8 Bdnylldyg Four credits are required in English. The purpose of Grammar I is to improve communication skills. Particular attention is-given to correct forms of parts of speech used in sentences. In Grammar II much time is devoted to verbals and dependent clauses. Reading, writing and spelling are continued. By the time a student reaches his junior year he should have a good foundation of the essentials of sentence structure. So Grammar III is a detailed review of all such elements of sentence analysis.
