This year Miss Hillegeist's English III classes wrote original poems as a class project. The best of these poems were sent in to the National High School Poetry Association's annual anthology, Young America Singt, and seven were accepted for publication. The poems that were accepted are Desire by Douglas Short, Fishin' by Sydonia Manna, The Promised Land by Linda Simpson, The Train by Regina Evans, Futility', by Fred Hosey, My Beauty by David Graham, and A Friendn by Pauline Caldwell.
