Paul Stoskopf, Vice-President LeRoy Roberts It is traditional to have a school board and the six members of our Board of Education are citizens of this community who are interested in the schools of Baxter Springs. It is their responsibility to wisely select needed equipment for the various departments of the schools, and develop new and better departments when needed. These members are deeply interested in education, for that is their main purpose--to promote the expansion of learn- ing. The greatest impact of their work can be seen in their action. They not only suggest what should be done, but see that it is done. The citizens of Baxter Springs, with the aid of the Board of Edu- cation, are helping to Widen the educational pro- gram in our schools. 5 I Helen Childress, President
