This is where we get down to facts. We have to fill out our registration cards and our class schedules. I always sort of feel sorry for teachers on this day. We kids ask some pretty dumb questions sometimes. After all, how can you think when you're discussing summer vacation with your best friend? Finally we do get them done and start figuring what books we have to buy. This is the first head- ache of the year. Mom and Dad want second hand books, and we don't, although some of the second-hand books are interesting reading on the inside covers-and then, too, you have to stand in line. But that's fun if some of your friends are waiting, too. When you finally get to the head of the line, it seems like the store has iust sold all of the books you need. But low and behold, a new shipment has just arrived. So now we are almost ready to start our new classes. Of course, there are always note books, paper, and pencils to be bought. I never can decide what color of pencil l want and how many different types of paper I'll need. But then that's the fun of starting a new school year. School ,Af 1' N Q...
