ARTHUR KNE PP , A.B So that our little Jimmies may grow to become intelligent people, Mr. Knepp taught two classes each of World and United States History. For the first time in several years he again taught geometry in the math department. Mr. Knepp is also in charge of the seventh-hour study hall. He was the junior home-room teacher and sponsor of the junior class. As junior class sponsor he coached the Junior Class Play. He also has served as the official timer of all athletic events. In addition to these and other miscel- laneous duties he found time to serve on the Student Council as faculty representative and also as the president of the local Parent Teachers' Association. The purpose of Biology is to give individuals an insight of their own life and the life of their sur- roundings. It is not a new or modern branch of learning, it is the 1T10St ancient of all studies. At the right we see Betty Lea- zenby, Richard Deak, and Patsy Parsons studying a collection of seeds. Driving nowadays is more work than pleasure because of the numerous traffic hazards. Drivers' training is designed to help the pupils to overcome many of these hazards by teaching them good driving habits. In the picture to the left Mr. Miller is instructing pupils in the fundamentals of driving. slolocv, PHYS. fn. AND DRIVERS' TRAINING Mr. Miller, who has now completed his first year of teaching at our school, began his day in charge of the first hour study hall. He taught two classes in biology, one in health and safety, and one class in drivers' training. This year the junior high pupils were offered physical education training for the first time in the history of the school. The boys' classes were under the direction of Mr. Miller. In addition to his regular teaching duties Mr. Miller coached baseball and basketball in the junior high school.
