I 010140 ln this valuable document lies the future of the class of 53 Read carefully for in the year 3000 A C this is what you will see Since life expectancy has been greatly increased, we, the class of 53 , are stall alive and kicking in the year 3000 A C Naturally, as has been the case of all the' class prophecies, the once small territory of Baugo Township has grown into a great metropolis, the biogest this side of Elkhart, which is now a one hearse town because of the fact that Jnmtown has grown so big and choked the life out of nt And another reason as because there is only one hearse lnot horsel left nn the place As l was sitting alone wondering what had become of our great, intelligent braony, handsome class l decided l would fund out So l pushed a button and rolled out my streamlined let propelled Jet Clipper, the most streamlined 'ob this side of the Rockies After the turbines warmed up, l opened her up and before l knew it l was there As l drove down the ten lane highway through the Jlmtown Metropolis, l happened to notice a gigantic hot rod track Upon inquiry l found out it belonged to my old buddy Rex Clippinger, who has a partner by the handle of Mark Wlllsey Both of these men are Important business partners netting about tfree hundred thousand a week Their star attraction is the best hot rod driver that ever banged up a fender A handsome brute by the name of Bill Maggert After l had congratulated my old buddies on their success l got in my Jet Clipper and took off Not long had l traveled when l noticed a large building which covered about two square miles l parked my buggy and casually strolled in And whom did I meet but Phil Barnes and Albert Stealy who owned this large monstroslty of a building They explained to me that they struck it rich when they were out on the Texas range punchln cattle They stooped over to pick up a pair of false teeth they had seen in the dust lo and behold the false teeth turned out to be those of the Cro Magnon man, one to me that they hired two of the best brains they knew to run their business Who else could that be but Bill Kaiser and Bob Stewart? l thought l would visit them so l strolled down to their office Naomi Hofferth their private secretary, was taking letters from them to Rex Moyer, the chief of police asking him for a couple of guards for their museum Rex was escortmg Pat Polnng and Lois Miller two glamorous movie stars, from their private plane to the luxurious Jamestown Hotel While l was strollmg through the large crowd in the stadium l happened to see two men pushing a hot peanut cart among the crowd They were none other than the ex famous basketball players of Jim town, Walt Parent and John Steckly Leaving the stadium l dropped in at the famous Olympian Haven where I was met at the door by Carl Holsomback manager and two charming hostesses, Echo Lape and Sue Clark A little farther on l stumbled onto a wood shop lnside was the handsome, intelligent little stlnker if you will pardon the expression who goes by the alias of Pedro, otherwise known as little Pete Smith l see that he has lust about finished the boat which he had started in his senior year at Jim town Just as l was about to leave by the back door, l came upon another large building which was church It was run by our friend, Mel Gaugler, and right beside him was a charming lady by the name of Betty Fisher Sitting In the last row of the church was a beautiful blonde, Shirley Bunch She IS happily married and IS dressed in furs and lewelry As l walked up in the tower l fixed my eyes on popular Billie Ray who has finally reached her ambition to become a church bell ringer Although the sweat is rolling down her brow from the strenuous 'ob of pulling the rope which rings the bell she is contented After l get back to my Jet Clipper and start out of town, I getted past the railroad yards Who is the man in charge of runmng the office? None other than Gene Moyer Gene also owns a large cattle ranch on the outskirts of town I hiked back to my Jet Clipper and let homeward lt has been a long and tiresome day By Jim Cllpp 24 ' ' Il ll 4 ' I I ' I ' n n . a . . . . . We worked hard for did wel to adapt to our new environment and friends. We tried to take with a smile whatever was handed out to us by the UpperClassmen. We especially remember initiation day, more especially initiation night. Our knees are still sore from kneeling to the Sophmores. ln all of this we hope we have gained some knowledge and confidence fnot too much--the Sophs saw to thatl.
