MRS. Rosh GRUVFR, office girli Principal VJAYNE COOK Perhaps the busiest person in our school is Mr, Wayne Cook, our principal. His interest in school activities has been ceaseless: his efforts seemingly untiring. Some of his many duties are to work out a satisfactory school program for every boy and girl in high school, so that they can meet the state requirements for graduation, organize the school program of studies at the beginning of the year, keep adequate school records of achievement and attendance for every pupil fnearly five-hundredj, write excuses for absentees, make decisions on all matters of an administrative nature, discipline pupils who are sent to the office, attend meetings called by the county superintendent, conduct teachers' meetings, assist the teachers in any and all matters whenever assistance is needed. These are the jobs that must be taken care of during his spare time. In addition to his administrative duties the principal supervises two assembly periods and teaches four regular classes each day. This year the oflice of the principal has had the part-time services of an office girl, Mrs, Kenneth Long was employed during a part of the first semester and Mrs. Rose Gruver during a part of the second semester. Some of the duties of the office girl are as follows: assist in all clerical duties such as writing of letters, recording grades, filing, help in preparation and distribution of announcements, handle the incoming mail, answer the phone, etc. The 1946 School Bell Echoes
