Bef ,gt gf: w. ,V ii SEHUUL BELL EEHUES ?o'zewo'zd Throughout twelve years of elementary and high school, many things stand out in a pupil's memory. For each pupil these things vary: and yet most of the memories for each of us are associated with events which have become traditional in our American school life. Our first day in school, freshmen initi- ation, trips to the principals oflice, a reprimand from a teacher, class parties, hay-rides, skating parties, intramural athletics, chapel programs, class days, class plays, Junior-Senior banquets, baccalaureate, com- mencementg these are but a few of the many activities and experiences which will be remembered long after we leave school. It is our hope that this book will assist the reader, as he looks through the pages of this 1946 school annual, to recall many pleasant associations and ex- periences with classmates, teachers, and friends. DEDI ATI WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE 1946 GRADUATING CLASS OF JAMESTOWN HIGH SCHOOL, DEDICATE THIS ANNUAL TO OUR LOVED AND RESPECTED PARENTS. THEY HAVE STOOD BY AND ADVISED US IN OUR TRIALS OF LIFE. THEY HAVE PROVIDED US WITH AN EDUCATION SO THAT WE MAY GO OUT INTO LIFE WITH A GREATER UNDERSTANDING AND TAKE OUR PLACES IN SOCIETY AS USEFUL CITIZENS. OUR SINCERE WISH IS THAT WE CAN PROVE THAT THEIR EFFORTS HAVE NOT BEEN IN VAIN. MRS. Rosh GRUVFR, office girli Principal VJAYNE COOK Perhaps the busiest person in our school is Mr, Wayne Cook, our principal. His interest in school activities has been ceaseless: his efforts seemingly untiring. Some of his many duties are to work out a satisfactory school program for every boy and girl in high school, so that they can meet the state requirements for graduation, organize the school program of studies at the beginning of the year, keep adequate school records of achievement and attendance for every pupil fnearly five-hundredj, write excuses for absentees, make decisions on all matters of an administrative nature, discipline pupils who are sent to the office, attend meetings called by the county superintendent, conduct teachers' meetings, assist the teachers in any and all matters whenever assistance is needed. These are the jobs that must be taken care of during his spare time. In addition to his administrative duties the principal supervises two assembly periods and teaches four regular classes each day. This year the oflice of the principal has had the part-time services of an office girl, Mrs, Kenneth Long was employed during a part of the first semester and Mrs. Rose Gruver during a part of the second semester. Some of the duties of the office girl are as follows: assist in all clerical duties such as writing of letters, recording grades, filing, help in preparation and distribution of announcements, handle the incoming mail, answer the phone, etc. The 1946 School Bell Echoes MR. This girl answers a questionnaire and is later entertained at a tea given by the Elkhart Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Society. Her manuscript is judged with others in the county and a county winner is chosen. Erom the winning county manuscripts, a state Pilgrim is selected to represent the county. Then from the states a national winner is chosen. The National Society of the D. A. R. then awards a prize to the national winner. From this year's class Lois Ewing was elected. The 1946 School Bell Echoes 17 Twelve Year Members of the Senior Class HELEN COOK MILLER FRANK DEAK JAMES DOTY VERNICE GARL BEULAH MOORE GENE PICKRELL CLASS HISTORY In the year of 1935 there were 31 pupils entered in the first grade at good old Jimtown. Out of that group there are six of us who have continued all 12 years of our school life together. They are: Helen Cook, Vernice Garl, Beulah Moore, Jim Doty, Gene Pickrell, and Frank Deak. It was in this year, under the instruction of Miss Luella Lewis, that we learned to read, write, and count to 100. Miss Burns CMrs. Frances Armstrongj was our second grade teacher. We made a wigwam and took turns eating our lunch in it. The school having burned the year before, our third grade classroom was the middle section of the cafeteria. Our teacher, Miss Cook CMrs. Ruth Hunsbergerb had usmake butter. Inadequate space made it necessary for our fourth grade to be divided into two groups under Miss Baker fMrs. Bonieta Myersj and Miss Wilma Culp. The group under Miss Baker made and presented the puppet show, Snow White and thc Seven Dwarfs. Our fifth grade teacher was Mrs. Hallman CMrs. Hunterj. Miss Lucille Malcolm, our sixth grade teacher, read us many good books which we enjoyed very much. The next year we entered Junior High with Miss Alice Housour as our teacher. The main attraction this year was attending a show at the Elco. It was in the eighth grade that our teacher, Mr. Weldy, prepared us to enter High School. At the end of the school year we were proud to receive our Eighth Grade Diplomas. In 1942 we entered High School. Tony Lese, Ray Miller, Darwin Wenger, Violet Perkey, Eleane Umsted, Helen Maloney, Eugene Green, Howard Dils, and Jack Hofferth joined us and have continued through high school with us. We learned this year that in changing from one class to another, one did not merely hurry down the hall: one barreled. We organized our class, choosing James Spake as president: Ray Miller, vice president: Beulah Moore, secretary and treasurer: Vernice Garl, re- porter: and William Wachs, sergeant-at-arms. In October we were entertained at an initiation given by the sophomores. Cider, apples, pop-corn, and sandwiches were served as refreshments. The shocking slide and feeding us fish worms fcooked spaghettij were some of the main attractions. We had two class parties that year, a weiner roast at Studebaker Park and a hayride. In 1943, Lois Ewing joined our Sophomore class. Class oflicers were: Tony Lese, president: Ray Miller, vice president: Beulah Moore, secre- tary and treasurer: Violet Perkey, reporter: and Jim Doty, Sergeant-at-arms. This year we initi- ated the Freshmen which we, of course, enjoyed very much. We had a Christmas party and everyone brought a toy for the grab-bag. We had a lot of fun play- The 1946 School Bell Echoes ing with the toys that evening, then we gave them to the Mishawaka Orphanage. We also had an ice-skating party and served hot chocolate and barbecues for refreshments. Vacation ended all too soon, and again we were back in the assembly to begin our Junior year, only this year we had advanced and now occupied the seats on the south side of the assembly. Officers elected this year were: Arden Stouder. president: Lois Ewing, vice president: Beulah Moore, treasurer: Sandra Kauffman, secretary: and James Doty, Sergeant-at-arms. During the year we sponsored a roller skating party at the Osceola Roller Rink and presented the play The Hoosier Schoolmasterf' We sold mag- azine subscriptions and were very successful. This year we tried to outdo every other Junior Class by trying to choose the prettiest class rings. Then came the big event of the season, the Junior-Senior banquet. We entertained the sen- iors in the school gymnasium which was decorated by carrying out the senior class colors, blue and white, in the theme of a Dutch garden. At last our dreams had come true, we were in our last year of High. Officers were: Howard Dils, president: Darwin Wenger, vice president: Beulah Moore, treasurer: Lois Ewing, secretary: and James Doty, sergeant-at-arms. We had a treasure hunt and Weiner roast at Studebaker Park. This year we were entertained at two banquets, the Junior-Senior banquet sponsored by the Jun- iors, and the Alumni banquet. Then the biggest event of all came, the one we had been waiting for all 12 years. On the evening of April 18, we proudly marched on the stage to receive our diplomas. Our high school days are over. Will the rest of our dreams come true? It remains for the fu- ture to tell. Will Helen Maloney become a concert soprano? Will Ray Miller get his orchestra? Will Eleane Umsted ever hook Frank Deak? Will Gene Pick- rell ever work? Will Helen Cook always be hunt- ing 5AAAA shoes? Will Lois Ewing marry Loren? Will Beverly Lewis ever hook a man? Will Howard Dils ever stop farming? Will Frank Deak always run a garage? Will James Doty ever lose his figure? Will Vernice Garl ever get tired of skating and run her bachelor's home? Will James Spake ever stop chasing women? Will Violet Perkey and Beulah Moore always run around together? Will Sandra Kauffman ever lose that laugh? Will Gloria Miller ever lose her red hair? What will Jack Hofferth enjoy most now since he won't be able to skip school anymore? Will Darwin Wenger ever get a new car or will he always keep his Model T? Will Eugene Green ever get hooked by Annabell? Will Donald Gor- don ever get a sweater with more than one stripe? And finally, whose grave will Tony Lese dig next? By HELEN COOK and BEULAH MOORE. 19 CLASS WILL We, the April Class of nineteen hundred and forty-six, in passing away forever our lives in J. H. S., broken in body and spirit, hope that our decaying remains will be buried with due respect and dignity along the peace- ful Baugo Creek. I, as attorney and execu- tor, shall read the legal will of the soon to be deceased: To the Faculty we leave our ability to do better work and have better students. To the Freshmen we leave our ability to do the things the teachers tell us to do. To the Sophomores we leave our ability to get along with the fellow classmen and the teachers. To the Juniors we leave all the desks upon which we inscribed our deepest thoughts. Gene Pickrell wills his ability to wiggle around to anyone unlucky enough to get it. To all who like skipping school, Jake Hofferth wills his ability to get excuses. Beverly Lewis wills her glamour and good looks to any future senior girl. We advise all interested to apply early and avoid the rush. Sweet Vernice Garl surrenders her numer- ous friends, her line scholastic record: in fact, all of her possessions acquired in her 12 years at Jimtown High, to Janice Strombeck. She wills everything but the coy looks and glances toward Dar's way-these she will lock in her heart forever. Eugene Green wills his tall, dark, and handsome self to Dick Friesner. Helen CCookj Miller wills her sweaters and skirts to anyone small enough to wear them. Howard Dils, who loves to argue with the teachers, wills the ability to anyone who can make use of it. 20 Lois Ewing, who patronized the post office quite a lot, wills her sailors etc., to Jackie Davison. Don Gordon, who is so bashful, hopes that Kenny Wordinger isn't quite so talkative in his Senior Year. Sandra Kauffman wills her engagement ring to Mary Brooks, who will need it. Tony Lese wills his weekgold beards to Chuck Cook. Helen Maloney wills her beautiful green eyes to Arlene Moore. Gloria Miller, who has Gene M.'s heart, wills her ability to get a man to Annabelle Troup. Ray Miller, who is the Frank Sinatra of our class, wills his musical ability to Dick Springer. Violet Perkey wills her ability to blush to anyone who would want it. For the addresses and telephone numbers that Jim Spake has, he gives a few that he doesn't need to the underclassmen. Bill Squires leaves his ability to get kicked out of class to Fritz Stanley. Eleane Umsted leaves her night walks past the garage to Betty Troup and Phyllis Snyder. Dar wills just a little of his shortness to Bill Warren. Frank wills his knowledge of the garage to Johnny Wenger. Beulah Moore wills her graceful, slender lines to Nola Hartman. We hope that this Will will improve our Jimtown High School. By VIOLET PERKEY HELEN MALONEY The 1946 School Bell Echoes CLASS PROPHECY TIME-I 9 79 PLACE-Jamestown, Indiana As we sit high in the new 82nd story office of James L. Spake, editor of The Jamestown Evening Gazette, we have been recalling those old classmates of 46, some 33-odd years ago. In looking down Fifth Avenue, far to the south, the billowing smoke coming from the mammoth factory of Deak 26' Deak brings back memories of Frank Deak and the O.K. garage, where he was employed while attend- ing J. H. S. He is now specifically engaged in the manufacture of a jet-propelled automobile which has gained practically a universal mo- nopoly of the jet-propelled power unit. The H. E. Dils Construction Co. has just completed the Transcontinental Super High- way, which is one of the greatest engineering feats ever accomplished by man. Of course, all of this would have been quite impossible without the truly great and able assistance of James Lamar Doty, chief cement mixer. The huge, luxurious ballroom on 43rd Street, which is featuring the Band of the Land, is open Z4 hours a day and has profits mounting into the millions. This informa- tion was related to us by the owners, Violet Perkey and Beulah Moore. Eugene Green has just scored another big hit on Broadway. It's pathetic to see him smash all the previous box-office attraction records set way back there by Van Johnson, Sinatra fd Company. Anthony V. Lese and his band will be starred tonight on the world's largest indoor entertainment floor. What kind of a floor? You guessed it. The world's largest skating floor, owned and operated by Vernice Garl, the champion skater of the U. S. She invested millions of dollars in the present building, which stands next to the old J. H. S. build- ing, just for revenge for them not allowing skating or dancing on the gym floor back in '46. Bev Lewis and Gloria Miller are operating the world's most famous and exclusive beauty salon. They can easily accommodate 150 women at a time. They also specialize in the latest nylon wigs for unfortunate women. The 1946 School Bell Echoes Rev. Darwin Wenger has just been elected to a position most honorable, that of chair- man of the Ministerial Association of Amer- ica. He recently resigned his pastorate of the Jamestown Episcopalian Church, Helen Maloney, the great second soprano of the Metropolitan, has just been forced to leave the stage due to a throat disorder which can be cured only by that great eye, ear, nose, and throat specialist, Dr. Donald Gordon. M.D. The important matter at present in James- town is the local election for mayor. The former Republican mayor and candidate again is Ray Miller. On the Democratic ticket is Jack Hofferth, This is how one citizen is reported to have voted. Mrs. Lois Herrli, the former Lois Ewing, stepped into the booth and looked at the names of the candidates. She took a bal- lot but did not vote for either one. She merely wrote across the ballot, God pity Jamestown. Mrs. Frank Deak, the former Eleane Umsted, now third grade teacher at James- town, has Richard Simper, Jr. in her class. He is continually monopolizing arithmetic class by asking many trivial questions. Mrs. Deak thought his parents, the former Sandra Kauffman and Richard Simper, should know of this, so she wrote the following on his report card: Richard is a fine student, but he talks too much. The report card came back in a few days and on it was written, You should meet his mother. Mrs. Miller, the former Helen Cook, is very contented and happy with her husband, Mr. Ray Miller, and son, at their palatial mansion on Riverside Drive. One day last week, while on the street corner talking to Mr. Gene Pickrell who re- cently lost practically every cent in a fire which destroyed his extravagant greenhouse, a very shabby and apparently poor man came along. I-Ie asked Mr. Pickrell: Sir, do you have a nickel for a cup of coffee? Mr. Pick- rell answered: No, but don't worry, I'll get along. So to the teachers of the Class of 1946: You see we didn't turn out so bad, after all. 21 3359: EO? UE :S :EQ :Z-gm KEN AO: EN? :E NAS EWU sow: ZR: EE: :g-UNHOWQNU: 2.3: yawn! We began the year with forty-two pupils. Gordon Mann was the first one to leave us. He moved to Elkhart. Barbara Barnard returned to Elkhart when her father was discharged from the Army, and her parents again began house- keeping. Jimmy Logan moved to Ligonier, Indiana, where his father purchased a filling station. Raymond Ellsworth left us at the beginning of the second semester when he felt he was old enough to quit school. Although we have had no serious epidemics, our attendance has been lowered considerably by colds and pupils staying at home for work. Those who attended school very regularly were Kenneth Bemiller, Mary Cook, Janet Farrell, David Kauffman, Wanda Kindig, Audrey Metcalf, Richard Moore, and Joan Swoboda. Those who did exceptional classwork during the first semester are: Mary Cook, Helen Bickel, Beatrice Maggert, Audrey Metcalf, and Johnny Secor. Some of the class had an enjoyable time arranging a party for the Junior High School basketball team. This party was postponed from February 15th to February 18th because of the snowstorm vacation. It was a combination Valentine party and victory celebration. Seventh Grade Thirty-nine boys and girls enrolled in the seventh grade in September. Since then we have had one entry and tive withdrawals, Joe Bowman being the first to withdraw. On November 16th Leona Logan left our group, entering a school near Ligonier. At the close of the first semester we had two with- drawals. James Fisher, a twin brother of John Fisher, withdrew and entered Central at Elkhart. Yvonne Deak entered the Irene Byron Sanatorium at Fort Wayne. The last to leave our group was William McCarty, who moved to Texas. We had quite a duplication of names in our room. We had three named James, three named Robert, three named Richard, two named John, two named Doris, and two named Marjorie. Eight of our boys played on the Junior High School team. James Luse and Richard Kauffman played on the first team. James Luse has been on the high honor roll each period. Due to poor attendance, we haven't had the Best Attendance Banner. We have only three who have not been absent, namely: Irene Ehret, James Iuliano, and Doris Vickers. Although we tried, we were unable to Win the attendance banner during the entire year. Out of a class of forty-one, only four have had a perfect attend- ance. They are Margie Connon, Joan Schrock, Roger Cook, and Ronald Moore. A few of our group have been on the honor roll during the year. Delores Himes attained it each grading period, and Shirley Bachtel, Barbara Wade, and Phyllis Stickel were on it some time during the year. 30 The 1946 School Bell Echoes ,W ,,, f tr . Ti . fri. li . We are quite proud of our attendance record, as we succeeded in winning the Best Attendance Banner for the months of September, November, and December. - Our class enjoyed presenting The Christmas Story in Flannelgraph pic- tures at the December Parent-Teacher meeting. An Easter program was also presented to the grade children with Flannelgraph scenes. The books which we enjoyed most this year were: The Sugar Creek Gang, Whiter Than Snow, Christie's Old Organ, Nobody Loves Me, and Black Beauty. Those who have not missed school this year are: Connie Ousterhout, Thelma Pettit, Barbara England, Richard Hatter, Rose Ann Hendershot, Jimmie Van Camp, Mark Willsey, Robert Cook, Shirley Bunch, and Charlotte Breden. Delores McCarty went with her parents to Texas in January. Joseph Smith entered in February. So we still have forty-six, only now it is twenty-Hve boys and only twenty-one girls. The boys and girls have been very regular in their attendance, with very few exceptions. They have only been absent because of flu and colds. Our average per cent of attendance for the year is 95.5 pct. The average daily attendance has been forty-three plus. We have had the attendance banner one month and have dropped below second place but once during the six months. We enjoyed a Hallowe'en party with the third grade. We had a Christmas, and Valentine party. We also enjoyed a hike for our reward in earning the banner. 32 The 1946 School Bell Echoes First row-Georgia Ackerman, Charles Breden, Wanda Brown, Mary Grace Clark, Karen Cook, Patricia Cook, Paul Fredericks, Lois Funkhouser, Betty Lou Forrest. Dale Reed, and Billy Mason, withdrew from here to attend other schools. Our girls increased to fifteen by the enrollment of Patty J. Parker and Sharon Harter, so we are more equally divided. In January this grade was highest in attendance, also again in February, so we have held the attendance banner for two months. Second Grade The second grade was divided in the fall. Cur group numbered 39. During the year we had the following withdrawals: Charles Peterson, who went to the central part of the state: Jo Ann Logan, who moved to Ligonier: David Mc- Carty, who moved to Texas, and Tim Kelly, who went to Elorida to join his father. a pilot in the Navy Air Corps. We had several girls enroll: Patricia Smith came from Florida, and Sally Weller, who came from the Elkhart schools. At present we have an enroll- ment of 37. We've had a number of interesting projects during the year. Our store, where we had student storekeepers and clerks, and other students as customers, proved very helpful. We used real money to make our purchases and learned to make change. This made our addition and subtraction very interesting. The most interesting part of our reading program is our dramatization, which all enjoy. We've also had various interesting contests in word recognition. We enjoyed our Hallowe'en, Christmas, and Valentine parties very much. By combining work and play, we feel this little poem expresses our attitude: We've learned a great deal And had lots of fun But we'll keep right on going Until all our work is done. MRS. First and Second Grades Due to the large number of pupils in the lower primary grades, the first and second grades were divided, and our room was made up of thirteen first grade and eighteen second grade pupils. During the year we received four new pupils and lost two, making a total of thirty-three. The warm days of late summer sped rapidly into the cool, crisp days of fall. We noted particularly changes in the weather which were signs of fall. Of these we noted especially the cool, frosty mornings, and the effect of Jack Frost's work on the leaves. While these changes of weather were taking place on the out- side, in addition to our regular school work, we talked about Indian life, fol- lowed by stories of the Pilgrims. During December We were very busy getting ready for Christmas season which culminated in the Christmas party, at which time Santa Claus called. We have aimed to keep a high standard of work, along with our fun and play, Some activities the children were interested in were making booklets of spelling and writing papers, keeping records of perfect scores in daily work. Each day is full of activity and they pass so rapidly that they will soon bring to a close another enjoyable school year. 35 First row-Mardel Anderson, Leroy Barlow. Robert Breden. Everything seemed new and strange to us, but soon we became acquainted with our class- mates and our new surroundings and were ready for work and play. Richard Reed, Donna Brock, and Leroy Mason left our class during the first semester, but later Jeannie Eggleston, David Crofoot, and Billy Culp entered our class, and again we were thirty-six strong. We enjoyed learning to work and play together. Reading, numbers, spell- ing, writing, and phonics keep us very busy. We've had many good times. We have especially enjoyed our happy times in the gym, and at our parties-the Christmas party being the A'highlight of the year. We like to watch things grow, and are now planting a garden in a lovely box that Walter Leazenby made for us. When reading about the farm, we made a large frieze picturing farm build- ings and animals. We have kept a weather chart for each month, Each day suitable symbols are posted on it. Now we are observing winter twigs, and watching for the signs of Spring. Miss BARKEY 36 The 1946 School Bell Echoes r .HR I 'MX W ,f xx I!! Cheerleaders No matter how good a team may be, they can put up a better fight if they have the support of the spectators. These spectators need leaders in which to guide them in their yells, At the beginning of each school year cheerleaders are selected by the student body, Any student who would like to become a cheerleader tries out for this work by leading several yells before the student body in the gymnasium. The Senior Civics class then conducts the balloting by fol- lowing the procedure of a regular election. This past season our team did not establish a very good record insofar as games won and lost are concerned. However, we did lose a number of games to very good teams by close scores. We did make a very good showing during the county tournament. ln addition to our wins on the floor, it can be said that our players and fans demonstrated an attitude of good sportsmanship of which we can be proud. Library Club The library at Jamestown High School is a pleasant room in which to read or study. Around the walls are shelves containing approximately 1,400 volumes of fiction, non-fiction, reference books, and children's books. ln one corner of the room is a magazine rack which holds the latest issues of the twenty magazines received by the school: on the shelves are older copies. In the middle of the room are two tables, large enough to accommodate six people who are doing reference work. Around the walls are desk chairs that are used mostly for pleasure reading. A faculty member acts as supervisor and is assisted by another faculty mem- ber and a few high school students. These people help to check books in and out, repair the books, and keep the library in order. During the year new books are added, and these are for the convenience of the whole school. Last year a set of volumes of the National Geographic was added which includes all the issues from l925 to 1944, inclusive. We also re- ceived an index book for these volumes. The library is open all periods except the first and second. Every grade from three to seven has a special day in which to get books. These are checked out for one week only. We obtained a card catalogue which will help us greatly in keeping account of books. Every book will have three cards kept in file: one to be found by the author, one by the title, and one by subject matter. Million Dollar Cook The story revolves around the mischievous prank of a wealthy old lady who gets tired of her social existence and, on the spur of the moment, answers an ad in the paper for a cook. H1-Xnnie CPhyllis Schumacherj, as she calls her- self, goes to work for the Talmadge family in a small community, and immedi- ately finds herself involved in the problems of all concerned. Naturally, none of the Talmadges knows that 'AAnnie is a famous millionairess. They think she is simply a darling old lady who has come to their house as a cook, and has endeared herself to each and every one of them by the wonderful manner in which she straightens out their individual problems. The Talmadge family consists of Madge fNola Hartmanil, mother of Glenn fKasmer Starzenskij, a writer, and Alexander fCharles Cookil, a high school boy. Glenn has recently married Gladys CBeverly Cripel, who doesn't get along with Madge because she thinks her mother-in-law interferes. Then there is lnis CEmily Umstedb, Madge's widowed sister, who spends so much time at social functions and the beauty parlors that she somewhat neglects her only son Tucker CKenneth Holderreadl, Besides the family, there is a sweet young girl next door CPhyllis Gallj who likes Tucker, but Tucker thinks she likes Alexander. And there is the funny former cook CMary Brooksyb, who tries to poison Annie's mind against the family. The officers of the club were: President, Darwin Wenger: Secretary, Mary Cook, Vice President, Dale Cook: Reporter, Cilen Cook. Some of the projects taken were: rabbit, garden, shop, soil conservation, calf, and Herefords. During the year, for entertainment we had moving pictures, and the Ciirls' 4-H Club gave us a Wiener roast. During July we had a tour of the members' homes to see their projects. After this we had a wiener roast at Mr. Luce's home. Some of us had a high rating on our projects. One of our boys attended 4-H Camp. There are 17 members. By MARY Cook 52 The 1946 School Bell Echoes Left to right-Charles Cook, Emerson DeFord, Devon Olson, James Rouch, Olin Breden. Projection Club The Projection Club, recently under the supervision of Mr. Mclntosh, is now sponsored by Mr. Cook, our principal. The purpose of the club is to teach any boy from high school, who is inter- ested, to run the movie projector and the loud-speaking system. We had a total of six members this year. We were taught to operate the projector, the loud-speaking system, and also the slide machine, The loud- speaking system is used for class parties, entertainment for basketball games, or any other time there is an occasion. This loud-speaking system is our nearest thing to a band, so we have to take good care of it. We are proud of our equip- ment and our club. We know that it will continue to be a project of interest for us and only hope it will be one of entertainment for you.
