Peru, Indiana-January 25, 1960-The famed Maxwell Circus will soon be prepared for a fourteen thousand mile tour of the country. Mr. Frank Maxwell, owner, president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer of the show expects to make around five hundred thousand dollars this year. His wife, the former Doris Burket, has a three ring circus in Shanghai, China. Together this pair has made over a million dollars clear in the twelve years they have been married. Shanghai, China-January 30, 1960-XVith the China branch of the Maxwell Circus we iind the Misses Helen Ruple and Vera Blosser, These girls are the stars of their own original trapeze stunt. They have been with the circus for many years and are widely known. Helen and Vera are graduates of the Jamestown High School. While they were in school they always were very athletic and very good in acrobatic work. Chicago, Illinois-February 5, 1960-New Swing Version Created! Robert Markel, noted 'ilazz King has just given to society a new type of music. After 11 years of tedious pen work he has finally completed his new song Ri Del de Di , an inspiration given him by an old class- mate. It will lie introduced on the next hit parade by Robert's orchestra with Katherine Knight, the widely known songstress, vocalizing. Miss Knight has been singing on Broadway for five years. Their disorder and corruption have been quickly broken up bv their new and very high- spirited mayor. Kenneth Ernsberger. Mr. Ernsberger took office May 3, 1958, and since then he has played his role as mayor very efficiently. He received his education at the University of Indiana where he spent six years studying law and economics, four years at the University of Notre Dame, and one year of post-college preparation. He was elected mayor by a unanimous vote of the people. Bi'lings. Montana-February 11. 1960-Sorrow filled the home of the VVilliam Rouch family today. Mrs. Rouch, the former Geneva Secor of Indiana, and her three children waved goodbye to Mr. Bill Rouch. Mr. Rouch, whose former home was also of Indiana, departed today for North Africa where he will join the French Legion. Mrs. Rouch will leave soon for the east where she will reside with her brother for the duration of her husband's term. Ottawa. Canada-February 15, i960-Mr. Russell Ruple and his wife, the former Ruby VVill, both of whom were residents of Indiana. arrived here last week to fill Mr Ruples newly acquired position as Fnited States ambassador to the Dominion of Canada. They will reside in the suburbs of Ottawa. Mrs. Ruple at one time was a stenographer in the General Motors Corporation. Mr. Ruple attended different colleges in this coun- try and has now taken this position. Fifth Avenue. New York-February IS. 1960-On a sign in front of Jack Dempsey's restaurant reads something like this: Spaghetti in its stringiest form .
