Directly below them is the apartment of the Broadway producer to whom they want to show the play they have been rehearsing. Their problem is getting him upstairs to see it. The producer, an amateur chief, finally comes upstairs-to borrow a cup of flour. The kids won't let him leave until he sees their acting so they stage a murder scene which is so realistic that it attracts the police. The scene becomes hilarious when it is discovered that the Wmurderedn girl has been served a Micky Finn. In spite of everything, however, future looks promising for the kids, the landlady gets her back rent, and things turn out happily.
