Other newly elected stu- dent body officers are Mary Ann McCamey, second vice-president, loyce Keksi, secretary, Shirley Storey, treasurer, Grace Weihl, business manager, and Ray Cre- sap, sergeant-at-arms. The members of the Boys' League selected Dick Decker as their president for next year. lack O'Donnell is vice- presiclent, Grant Linn, secretary, Wayne Lind- berg, treasurer, and Bill Smith, sergeant-at-arms. Arlene Cooper has been elected to the office of Girls' League presi- dent. Her cabinet con- sists of Evelyn Neiger, vice - president, Beverly Degermark, secretary, Leona Martilla, treasurer, and Cecelia Aboitiz, so- cial chairman. Witter, Purvi lead In Class of 119 Cf the 1951 graduating class, 26 students quali- fied for the three-ycar honor roll, having grade averages of B or better for their three high school years. Inset-Laura Soderlind. wr smallest in the history of the paper. lt includes Laura Soderlind, editor, Eliza- beth Ritzau, assistant editor, Gwen De- Bord, advertising manager, Dick Ein- spahr, sports editor, Alice Earring, busi- ness manager, Darlene Kangas, feature editor, and reporters Margie Brink, Ar- lene Cunningham, Grace Schmidtlein, and Violet Christenson. This year twelve issues of the Tiger were printed, at a cost of about S50 per issue. About 5300 was taken in from the sale of advertisements, and the staff earned approximately 2548 selling news to other publications. ln addition to working on the paper, the staff made a trip to the Columbian Building to study some of the problems connected with publishing a daily news- paper, and also visited the office of the Mid-County Reflector, where they watch- z V. '. Z ed the setting up and printing of an issue of the Tiger. Three members of the staff, Dick Einspahr, Darlene Kangas, and Laura Soderlind, competed this year in Pacific University's annual writing competition, held March 31 on the Paci- fic University campus at Forest Grove, Oregon.
