BOY S LEAGUE Guided by Gerry Ellis, the Boys' League sailed through a very successful year. With Mr. Wescom as advisor the boys sponsored the annual homecoming parade and intramural bas- ketball. They purchased uniforms for the players in Do-Nut League. This year's league play was divided into two sections, one round before Christmas and one after. Both proved very popular. During the year the boys were host to interesting and memorable speakers from the armed services. Officers for the year were: Gerald Ellis, president, Narvin Snyder, vice-presidentg Dave johnson, secretaryg Glen Bergren, treasurer, and Fred Brosseau, sergeant-at-arms. GIRL'S LEAGUE Plenty of good organization has characterized every enter- prise of the club, with its officers, janet Erkkila as president, Elizabeth Ritzau, vice-presidentg Ioyce Swanson, secretaryg Ruth Wisti, treasurer, Dorothy Rogers, social chairman, and Regene Bartlett and Marlene Shinn, song leaders. l A major project of the League since the last war is the help give-n to a German family. We have sent them food and as many other things as we were able. A Mother-Daughter Banquet was held in honor of mothers on April 12. Also an overnight camping trip was planned. A jean day for girls who cared to wear jeans was held in connection with this camping trip. To finance such things as these, dances and evening movies were sponsored. Evening cabinet meetings were held to discuss further enter- prises. Often a marshmallow roast would end a perfect evening.
