' . . . . . , sl The tollowing week, playing at home again, the Cats started slow and tinished tast to clobber Hohen- wald 26-7. Tony Morrissey played a good detensive game tor the Cats while the entire backtield corps was running through the openings provided by the Iinemen. The boys trom Mt. Pleasant came to town the next week and tought back gamely to tie the Wildcats 7-7, Battle Ground played ragged ball and made plenty ot mistakes. Jim Burton scored the Cats' only touchdown on a tive yard smash. Mt. Pleasant hit a desperation 65 yard pass in the tourth quarter to gain their hard tought tie. Over at Tullahoma the next week the Cats ran up against one ot the most sensational passing attacks that has been seen in quite a while. Tne Cats held their own so tar as the ground attack went, but they could not match the Tullahoma passes, Jim Burton went 30 yards in the second quarter tor the Cats' only TD. Jim Cook and l'lal Smith played good detensive ball in the game which Tullahoma won 34-7. When Pulaski invaded the Cats' home territory on Nov. 2, all the signs pointed to a Battle Ground victory, but somehow we could not hold in the Boocats single-wing attack and they eked out a I3-7 victory. At this time, the coaching statt in- staled a single-wing attack in an effort to Qverthrow heavily tavored Cohn on the tollowing Friday night. All week long, the spirit built up to a trenzied peak when we invaded Cohrfs tield some 400 strong tor THE game. From the beginning, it was evident that we were ready. John Brown brought back the opening kickott some 95 yards tor a touchdown and the Cats seemed ott to the rocks. Cohn came back hard and really poured it on. At halttime, the score stood I4-7, in tavor ot B.G.A. Cohn scored in the third pe- riod to make it l4-l4. Both teams had touchdowns called back in the last quarter, so the tinal score stood at l4Al4, This ended the tootball season at B.G.A. with a 4-472 record.
