Bombers Improve Battle Creek's Bomber baseball team won more games this year than in the three previous years combined. The Bombers lost to Woodbury Central in the sectional cham- pionship to finish a 10-9 record for first year Coach Byron I-Iartwig. A veteran BC football coach, Hartwig and the Bombers hit on the right combination to improve the overall season record. Leading the way for the Bombers were Second Team All- Conference honorees: Trent WiUiams, junior pitcherg Kerby Huss, Senior infielderg and Dave Winterrowd, Sophomore outfielder. fPictured at left! Given honorable mention was Keith Huss, an '86 graduate. Dave Winterrowd carried the big bat for the Bombers as he had a .529 batting average and .641 on base average. Trent Wfilliams led the pitching duties with seven wins and four losses. The Bombers look for good things next year as they lose only one Senior, Keith Huss.
