These courses which include Shop, Home Economics, and Office Practice, are assembled in such a way that they try to create the realistic work-a-day life of the community. ln the Business Department students acquire typing skills. They may choose to expand this knowledge through other classes such as Shorthand and Transcrip- r, Develop Skills tion. If the designed courses are completed successfully, students are then equipped to handle of- fice positions. Shop programs such as Wood- working and Auto Mechanics enable the student to acquire the necessary skills as well as know- ledge through practical applica- tion. Life-related Home Economics courses equip students for better lives as parents, consumers, deco- rators, nutritionists, and home managers. or-q . -nga.. , M ,Vw ef' The work-a-day life of the community is duplicated in Office Practice. 21 Q 0 twm 3 'Q--..,,-W

Science s Knowledge There are things that are known and things that are unknown, in between are doors. The Science Department, as set up at BCCHS, is correlated to give the students a chance to open many of the doors in this field, The science courses en- courage student participation. They involve the use of a text as well as practical application of the material taught. This is ac- complished through experiments and field trips, followed up by class discussions. Hopefully the established pattern of these di- verse classes will give students a proper background for further studies in the field of science.
