TO BE LEADERS FOR MARKETING AND DISTRIRUTION IS THEIR GOAL The management and the personnel of YE OLDE SCHOOL STORE are selected from the students enrolled in the Distributive Education curriculum, majoring in Merchandising, Marketing - Management. These students are also active and participating members of the Battle Creek Central DECA chapter. At the recent National DECA Leadership Conference in Chicago, we were informed that we have one of the very few completely equipped and professionally managed school stores in the nation. The management and personnel of the store are responsible for management and opera- tion, which includes sales, purchases, inventory control, expenses control and a planned budget for profits based on sales, costs, and expenses. All the profits from Ye Olde School Store support the com- fe -— — -— . ' — . plete budget of the Student Council, Pep Club, Booster Club, and other student activi- ties. The management and per- sonnel are Marion Smith, iVIar- tha Pejakovich, Frank Walker, Pat Stockford, Harriet God- dard, Jean May, Harold Miller (The School Store Manager), Linda Crawford, Douglas Ryan, Bill Dopp, Don Goble, and Leonard Hunter. The School Store Advisers are Mr. Don C. Clark, Mr. Jim C. Graves, and Mrs. Vera Jeffers. Missing from the picture are Judy Canfield and Mary Ann Ferguson. 29
