' This year ' s spring musical attraction, tlie Broadway hit Funny Girl , was presented at the W. K. Kellogg Auditorium on May 12 and 13. Mr. Kenneth Peck directed the musical assisted by the following: Mr. Alfred G. Richards, Vocal Music; Mr. Charles Kirsch, Orchestra Conductor; Mrs. Bobbi (Waite) Smith, Choreographer; Mr. Earl Avery, Stage Manager; and Miss Joan Tangel, Publicity and Ticket Adviser. Student helpers were Maureen Fraser, Set Design; Andy Reese, Costume Design; Sally Stewart and Hedy Cohen, Assistant Directors. Chairman of the various student commit- tees included: Costumes, Linda Johnson and Terry Ann Losey; Make-up, Caryl Gylstrom; Lobby Displays, Peggy McDonald; Tickets and Box Office, Marilou Blocker; Properties, Sharon Eaton; Stage Crew, Val Tobias; Lights, Dave Glen and Gerry Storey; Ropes, Marty Harden and Russ Schelles; Publicity, Joyce Hendrickson. Fanny Brice, ambitious young actress in the Zigfield Follies, becomes involved with the big-time gambler Nick who gambles away all her money. With her marriage on the rocks, Fanny rises in her career as an actress, hiding her sorrows as she plays the role of Funnv Girl. â– Take it. I thought you were kidding. ' 19

Gloria Jackson, Jane Shaffer, Kathy Elliget Court: Terri Helton, Sharon Iden, Peggy Reynolds, Connie Lyman, Nancy Haley TEN GIRLS ELECTED TO CEREAL BOWL TOP TEN Cereal Bowl Relays, sponsored by the Kellogg Company, were held this year for the first time in the Miller Fieldhouse pool at Kellogg Community College, on December 10th. The events were opened by tliis year ' s Cereal Bowl Queen, Peggy Reynolds. The court consisted of Nancy Haley, Sharon Iden, Connie Lyman and Terri Helton. The evening ' s highlights were concluded with Central ' s share in a first place victory with Ann Arbor. 21
