foreword Thus year the l9S8 PAEAN us brought to you for one maun reason to emphasuze the many new and delught ful changes that have occurred here at Battle Creek Hugh School Lookung back we duscover that the ground for thus hugh school was broken un June 1908 Before that tume a three story bruck structure known as Number One School housed the senuor hugh school lt was buult on the sute of the present W K Kellogg Junuor Hugh School Naturally the curruculum has been expanded and um proved over the years The furst vocatuonal subuects un troduced to the hugh school un l908 were foods and clothung The teachung of commercual work and Indus trual arts followed ln order to expand vocatuonal educa tuon to a further extent the Vocatuonal Buuldung was erected un l922 Suxty students were graduated from the hugh school un the Class of l9l0 The student body here has steaduly uncreased sunce that tume Recent graduatuon classes have numbered between four and fuve hundred 4 Through thus school year alone there have been many physucal changes Perhaps the most umportant one and the most expensuve was our new lubrary Thus beautu fully decorated room provudes a place to study and to make use of the extensuve reference materuals Another change that has been brought here at Cen tral us the umposung actuvutues sugn Erected un the early part of the school year thus sugn contrubutes to the physucal dugnuty of our hugh school Other changes that have had an effect on us are the new modern counselors offuces and the conference room Thus room has been very useful It houses the Student Counculs weekly meetungs and numerous com muttee meetungs All of these changes have enhanced our luves here at Battle Creek Hugh School Over our fufty year hustory we have made much progress Changes and was used from l862 to 1908-forty-six years.
