MAURICE DORAN IQ53 PAEAN honors Mr A W Anderson This year's PAEAN honors one of the most beloved teachers at Battle Creek High School--Mr. A. W. Anderson. Mr. Anderson's retirement this year marks the end of a career of forty-three years of teaching. Forty-one of those years were spent here at Central in the mechanical drawing department. Mr. Anderson came to Central in l9l7 after having taught woodshop for two years. He began his teaching career immediately after his graduation from Western Michigan University in l9lS. When one considers all his years of night school instruction and defense work, one discovers that this kindly man has spent over fifty- three years in devotion to his profession. After his retirement Mr. Anderson and his wife plan to do much traveling and fishing. Wherever Mr. Ander- son goes, he will have the wholehearted admiration and friendship of everyone at Battle Creek High School.
