irector Wfe, as seniors, realize how fortunate we have been the last three years to have Miss Helen Houvener and Miss Frances McCowen for counselors. Many times we have entered their office with our troubles, always to be greeted by a friendly smile. During our sophomore and junior years they helped us iron out numerous problems in selecting a curriculum. They have been of even more help in preparing us, as seniors, for college or the business world. The Class of 1954 wishes to express its sincere thanks and appreciation to our two wise and experienced counselors. They have greatly aided us and we will always remember them for their skillful guidance. Page 18

III II LIGHT Graduation Day, 1954 - a day long awaited by all of the Senior Class. But as this day approaches and we leave Central, we must realize that our future is a test on everything that we have learned in the past thirteen years. In order to be a success, we must pass this test. The application of all knowledge which we have acquired in our everyday lives is the most important part of this rest. If we cannot make use of the things which we have learned then they are of no value to us. In the future, social habits that we have developed through the years will also be noticed and we will be judged to some extent by them. The Sophomore Swing, the bl-Hop and the Senior Prom are only a few of the stepping stones which have helped us acquire these habits. In closing I wish to thank every member of the Senior class for his Hne help and coop- eration during this past year. I would like to thank the members of the Senior Board, for without them, it would have been impossible to carry on the class activities. My sincerest thanks go also to the counselors, Miss Helen Houvener and Miss Frances McCowen who have given us the friendly guidance and the moral boost when we needed it most. jon Barsanti P7'6J'iZ!67lf, Clzzyr of 1954
