STAGE HANDS We of the Paean Staff wish to express our deep gratitude and sincere thanks to those who gave their time and efforts whenever called upon to help in our production. They are the men behind the scenes-the stage hands of a production such as this-the unsung heroes. Karlene Behnke was elected one of the business managers of the staff, but due to the pressure of home and school activities, she was forced to vacate her position. Before leaving, however, she was able to collect four pages of advertising, for which we are most grateful. Paul Allison has been a constant source of cheerfulness and humor on even the staff's blackest days, as well as a general handyman. No one can tell in full measure of the hours gained by the staff due to Paul's willingness to do the little things-unnoticed in final product, but essential to its making. Thanks loads, Paul! We all give our vote of thanks to Carol Greenfield, a junior, who has helped us a great deal doing such jobs as typing and proofing. These jobs are long and tedious ones, so we specially thank Carol for being an on-the-spoti' girl. Mickey McAllister proved a competent typist and an excellent photo-sorter. She spent long hours in our dark archives sorting out and classifying all the pictures taken by the staff. Marilyn Rook has helped immensely through the material she has written and the copy she has proofed. Only one who has worked hand in hand with the staff and our assistants can fully appreciate the time saved for the staff by Marilyn through her willingness to do the odd jobs that came up. Pete Vandervoort joined the staff late, but for his expert work in the writing of the sports material and the completion of that portion of the book, we express our deep gratitude. One doesn't realize how little they know of wrestling holds until suddenly faced with the necessity of having to write about them. It was like this when Pete proved an invaluable assistant to the nearly all-girl stad. Our hearty thanks, Pete! To Kay Borden, Roger Cote, jim Gray, Tom McClure and Bob Stone goes a special vote of thanks, for each helped on selling the advertising which, in a large part, pays for the book you are reading. Thanks to each and everyone for their assistance in our production! Finally to Mr. Max Misner, art teacher here at Central, goes our deepest appreciation for his expert technical advice on all matters of art in our book. We are deeply grateful to you, Mr. Misner, for your help! To each and every person who in any way helped with our production we say, thank you! Page 6
