CDR The chimney of Battle Creek High School has been used throughout the 53 PAEAN as a symbol of school life Out of this chimney like clouds of smoke rise many activities in have smoke there must be fire The two es sentlal elements of a fire are fuel and sparks The sparks ignite the fuel School officials faculty maintenance and counselors work together to keep our chimney active by providing fuel for the fire The sparks are of course the students The seniors have sparked varied activities during their eventful year The smoke parts to reveal many colorful events to them such as the Homecoming weekend the Cereal Bowl Relays the formal dances especially the Senior Prom the Senior Play and finally graduation The smoke also has meamng for the underclassmen Especially theirs were the J Hop the Jumor Play and the Sophomore Mixer but they shared in sparking other fires as well The PAEAN staff has done its best to translate into pictures and print all the smoke that has risen from our chimney this school year I T20 M, jx if ws which the students participate.
