'WT l l l ,u l Sl if 1 i i i lr ll ll H l 'FMU . LL V if l'-i'l .' Dick Ford, Dean Cummins, Janette Andress, Bob McCampbell , if 1 - ' Xp ,om I - - 1 ffl Senior Presidents Address Vim S Commencement Day draws rapidly near, we, the seniors, are beginning to realize just what our high school has meant to us. lt is with mingled feelings that we contemplate our graduation. We feel satisfied in that we have suc- cessfully completed our secondary education. lt marks a milestone in the lives of all of us. For some of us, it will mean the ending of our preparation for our life's work. We shall seek to find ourselves in this specialized world and to enter into the type of employment to which we are most adapted. Life won't be easy and carefree for all of us. We will make mistakes, but we will profit by them. We won't give up easily but will bravely face the problems that present themselves, remembering that experience is the best teacher. These last three years have been valuable to all of us. We have had important contacts with friends and teachers. We probably won't realize until later years just how much the faculty has done for us, but we, the class of l94O, wish to thank each and every teacher and adviser, and the sincere and never-tiring efforts of Mr. Welsh. There are those among us who have left enviable records behind them, records which may never be approached, and we are proud of them. There are also those who have never done anything outstanding but who nevertheless are worthy mem- bers of the class. As a class, we are proud of ourselves, but not overly proud, we are confident, but not over-confidentg we believe that we have functioned success- fully. In the future, we may not be so fortunate in our relationships with others. They may not be so lenient and understanding as our friends. But we feel, that come what may, we will be prepared.
