As Ellis shot a quick pass to Bruce giving the Dogs a 6-0, then 7-0 lead after Percy’s PAT kick was good. The Wolves then scored to tie 7-7. After a field goal and TD the score was 10-14, in their favor. After a scoreless first half the Glen Oaks Panthers scored to win 7-0 in the 2nd game of the year. Top: Zeppuhar passes while Probst Boogie-Woogies. Mid. left: Puddin's got it. Mid. right: Aghhh!!! He got me. Bottom: Bruce said Look Mom no hands. 182 Was Motto Of Hard Fought Year In a classic rivalry the dogs fought to a hard 9-7 loss to the Injuns. One of the most tremendous pep rallies in BRHS history set the stage for a spectacular battle. In the 1st period Zeppuhar to Coston pass play gave the Dogs the lead As the Injuns scored but did not make the PAT the Dogs thought they had the game, but a fumble and field goal gave them the lead and game. Top left: Hey guys!! Let’s Go!!! Top right: Coston said. Put up your dukes.” Bottom: Grab your partner swing him to the left. At the BRIIS Capitol battle a missed PAT kick and nullified score lost the dogs the game 7-6. With 27 seconds left, a Zepphaur to Bruce pass won us the game, but an offsides penalty nullified it and was not regained. Scotlandville stopped a late BRHS comeback as they out-scored the Bulldogs 26-21 at Memorial. 183 The Mean Green Gave Their All For the 1st time of the year the dogs lost by more than a TD, as East Ascension shut out the Dogs 20-0. Three interceptions ar.d fumbles stymied all Bulldog drives and threats. The Dogs picked up their only win of the year as they soundly trounced McKinley's Panther’s 20-7. Zepphaur to Bruce put our 1st points on the board. The Dogs made two TDs in the 4th to give us the win. Below left: Helppp!!!’’ Below right: Hands off buddy. Above: Boy that leg sure looks juicy. The undefeated Lee High Rebs went in to the BRHS game on a winning streak and left on one. They downed the Hogs 25-0. Catholic High jumped out to a quick 14-6 lead before the Dogs could score, and the Bears added another TD to trim the Dogs 21-6. The Dogs ended a disheartening year with a loss to Tara, but they displayed their finest football of the year, before ending up on the short end of a 20-14 score. The Trojans took an early 13-0 lead until Zeppuhar got started, and the dogs went ahead with 51 seconds left. But the Trojans came back with a 65 yard pass giving them the game. 185 We Tried, But We Couldn’t Do It Top: Coach Watts in a tense moment. Middle left: Coston takes off. Bottom left: Kevin!
