Dedication to MISS REINE ALEXANDER Principal of Baton Rouge High School We, the Fricassee Staff, dedicate our 1954 yearbook to you, Miss Alex, our guide, our mentor, our friend. Through the many years you have been principal of Baton Rouge High School, you have been just that to all of us, the generations of boys and girls who have comprised your student body. Our guide - the high standards and ideals you have ever held before us by,precept and example, have taught us what real men and women should be, and will serve as the standards and ideals we will carry with is through life. Our mentor -- you have counseled with us in our many problems, none of them too small, none of us too insignificant to receive your full time and attention. Wise guidance and real understanding have you given un- stintingly to any of us who felt the need. You have always made us feel that we are your boys and girls and nothing has been too much trouble for you to do for us. Our friend - there isn't one of us in High School who doesn't feel the truth of that statement. We have felt your joy in our joy, your sorrow in our sorrow. You have been behind us in everything we have done, and though at times we have displeased you, we have still felt you were back of us, a true and tried friend, who wanted only what is best for us. Giving so unreservedly of yourself., you have made Baton Rouge High School the wonderful school that she is. You are Baton Rouge High School at her best. We salute you!
