R. H. S. 19-LAFAYETTE 13 Featuring the running of Ronnie Quillian and jerry Cannon, the Bulldogs over- powered the Lafayette Lions. A pass from Cannon to Kelly provided the Bulldogs with the running tally. Standing out on the line were: Don Miller, Bobby Evans, and Charles Nolan. B. R. H. S. 26-BOLTON O In defeating the favored Bolton Bears, B.R.H.S. was in command of the game from start to finish. Leading the Bulldogs in scoring was Quillian, who tallied twice, andfkicked two extra points. On the line, the play of Bobby Evans, Evans Roberts, Al Retif, and Whilden Parker was exceptional. .Q RONNIE QUILLIAN-Fullbark All-Smle Semud String Big Ronnie Quillian has smashed through the line and gained so much yardage, that he is one of the most valuable backs in the state. Big Ron weighs in at 185. Cannon yust made a TD. B. R. H. S. 14-HOLY CROSS 26 Although the Bulldogs played a fine game, the running of Holy Cross's Detuchern was too much for them. That just about tells the story of the game. Pacing the Bulldogs attack were the passing of jim Taylor, and the running of jerry Cannon. On defense, it was Miller, Evans, Elkins, and Brown leading the way. BO AINIOS 611.11511 B. R, H. S. 6fjESUITS 26 The st ore of the jesuit game does not depict the closeness of this game. The Bulldogs kept the game tied until late in the fourth quarter, when the 'lays exploded on the tired Bulldogs. The running of Can- non, and the blocking of Humble sparked the Bulldog offense. DON 1Nfll.l.ERiTi1rUe All-Suze Sffwzd Sfrizzg .gre Miller has been an outstanding player since he first came to high school but this year. being his last, he turned in a magnificent performance. S. made their poorest effort of the year. The only Bulldog score came when jimmy Taylor, the offensive star of the night passed to Ernest Kelly who took the ball on the Torp's 40 and went all the wa '. Par- i l ticularly excellent on defense was Donnie Miller, who leaped high into the air to intercept a Fortier pass on the Bulldog goal line in the third quarter. 3 h DEFENSIVE ' ' l TEAM ,J , las, K J V 4 . f gf, -nil X '95, gf? ar ' W f sea V- 4 , l f it ' 3 E 1 35' T' E J 4 - f ...E M- we ...Q f--- 3 M - N,,'-?iQS-3 --es' W ,..,.....- V' 5 A ' 'J at 6 W M .-A l W., Lv, ,.-- ' f,f,,...r H . Leading the Bulldogs was Ronny Quillian, who scored four of the five Bulldog touch- downs. jim Taylor tallied 5 points-after touchdowns. Leading the field on defense were Charles Nolan, Bobby Evans, Charles Elkins, and Mike Burks. B.R.H.S. 6-CATHOLIC HIGH 0 In a very loosely-played game, B.R.H.S. eked out their city finals, Catholic High, to boost their hopes for a district crown. A scoreless tie was broken in the fourth quarter, when Ronnie Quillian bulleted through with the winning tally. It was Quillian who played havoc with the C. H. S. line throughout the entire game, gaining a total of 120 yards. Stalwarts on the line were Earnest Kelly, Harry Rubenstein, and Donnie Miller.
