Superinfendenf of Schools It is a pleasure to be a small part of this the fourth edition of the Both High School Recal. The staff is to be congratulated for the long hours of excellent work they have done in the production of this yearbook. I am sure it will be treasured in the years to come by its owners as a pictorial record of their high school days. It not only pictures the history of the growth and development of Bath High School, but also hints of the glories and ac- complishments of the future. May all of its future students and faculty fulfill the hopes and aspirations of those of the present. — R. J. Thompson Administration Principal To the students and members of the Recal Staff: This book is an account of your toil and good times while searching for treasures. Some of your most treasured experiences and friendships come about during your high school days. Many days we have to work hard. We take time out at intervals to enjoy ourselves and get better acquainted with those we are working with. These friendships and good times make it easier to get back to our work. — R. E. Deuces Are Wild I did not embezzle annual fundsl For the fourth year, the annual staff has worked toward the completion of the yearbook. Under the supervision of our able advisor, Mr. Pat- ton, and Editor, Ken Bassett, we tried to produce a bigger and better annual than in the past. We started out by selling ads and annuals to secure money. The money was placed in the trusty hands of our Business Manager, Sharon Bishop. Each mem- ber of the staff was busy with his own assigned work. Chuck Meyer, our sneaky photographer, took snaps, while the rest layed out mats, drew division pages, and of course talked over new ideas. We are sure the faculty and student body of Bath High will find this year ' s annual one of the best yet. The Varsity B Club of Bath High School has been quite active in the four years it has been or- ganized. This year they sponsored the Teachers basketball game, the Don- key basketball game, and the Sadie Hawkins Dance. The members of the football team went to OSU to watch the Purdue football game. Being ac- tive together has drawn the boys in the club closer together and has taught them to work together in everything they undertake. t m 1 liii f 8 i v! r 1 H 9 8pn ' ■d w - : 5 V • . .- « M ■' t first Row: R. Two of our members, Steve Willeke and Ronnie Ray, attended the State Meeting of F.B.L.A. Chap- ters, to help solve differ- ent problems of other chapters. To hold our charter in the National F.B.L.A., we had to have a worthwhile community project. The members decided on a scholarship. To raise mon- ey for the scholarship, we received donations from the people living in Bath Township, and had a car wash. We ended the year by having an impressive Banquet. The Student Council under the competent lead- ership of its advisor, Mr. Hager, has done much to complete the editing of a handbook, which will con- tain the rules of conduct and many other proce- dures of the school. A citizenship program was conducted in association with the principal, Mr. Caton, to help improve the conduct of the student body. At times our tasks were difficult, but all in all, working for the WILD- CAT PRESS was a pleas- ant experience. The entire staff wishes to extend its sincerest gratitude to all who con- tributed to the success of this paper. We especially want to thank Mr. Sniff, who was our faculty ad- visor. We hope that every- one enjoyed reading the WILDCAT PRESS as much as we enjoyed printing It. The purpose of the Fu- ture Teachers of America Organization is to pro- mote the teaching profes- sion. The members get ac- tual teaching experience by taking over classrooms when needed. Several of our choir members attended a music festival at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. The annual Christmas program was presented by the Choir in the Bath High Gymnasium on December 18, 1959. Many hours of hard work went into the prepara- tion of this, and all of our programs. The operetta, The Singing Freshman, was given in the spring. All choir mem- bers participated in this. Some were-members of the cast, while the rest were part of the College Crowd. Mr. Gilbreth is an efficiency expert and he is convinced that what works in the factory will work in the home. His reason for doing this is a heart condition, so he wants to leave the lightest possible load on his wife. He regards the girls ' interest in boys as a waste of time.
