EFT: Mrs. Meer and Mrs. Brandes keep the office running smoothly The faculty of Batesville High School play very impor- tant roles in the lives of each student. They try to prepare us for the “‘life after high school’, whether it is college or finding a job. But teaching is not their only function, they are there for you to talk to and become friends with. You may find many of our teachers very involved in different activities, such as coaching an athletic team, putting on a play, sponsoring a club activity or chaperoning a dance. The teaching staff at B.H.S. comes from a wide varie- ty of backgrounds. There are teachers that were born and raised in this area but there are some from as far away as California, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Penn- sylvania. Also our staff has some of the best education themselves, in addition to many Indiana schools they have attended Colorado State University, Catholic University of America, Columbia University, Bellarmine College, and Morehead State University. After 26 years of serving our school system in the Home Ec. Department, Miss Green is retiring. Her ser- vices will be greatly missed.
