Fountain Enchants Couples at Prom As the couples entered the new gymnasium for their 1968 Prom, they focused their attention on the fountain situated in the center of the dance floor. At the customary hour of ten o’clock, Mr. Lemen crowned Cheryl Lamppert Queen. The Quee n danced the traditional “Queens Dance” with Prom King Dick Frushour. After the Queen’s Dance, the couples danced to both slow and rock music until midnight when they dispersed to prepare for the Post Prom.
