a! ‘2 ¥ os 4 CLASS Mah In the year of 1952, we gathered as freshmen for the beginning of one of the main chapters of our lives. When we registered, the count showed us four short of a hundred. i¢@ nf “as y ae - ; 7 N : 5 . Our first class meeting was held September 11, in the gym to elect our officers. They were: president, Jim Gibson; vice-president; Mike Decker; secretary-treasurer, Boots Prentice. The main event of our freshman year was the initiation. Onions, soap, big buckets, toilet tissue, and lots and lots of lipstick were in evidence every place. Following the initiation, we were given a party. The one new student was Paul Dietz. Our class officers that year were James Gibson, president; Arthur Tyler, treasurer; Janet Prentice, vice-president; and Deloris Thie, secretary. This was the first year that girls from our class were eligible to become attendants to the Homecoming Queen. The ones chosen by the football team were Lorraine Deffner and Louella Scheele. In the fall of '54, all of us except Allen Bohlke, Sharon Corbin, Mike Decker, Pauline Effing, Nick Fasbinder, Elvera Harpring, Jerry Heppner, Ralph Houston, Judy Miller, Cleo Narwold, David Oswald, Albert Suttman, Arthur Tyler, Sharon Wolferst, and Paul Dietz came back to B.H.S. We gained one classmate, Joe Werner. Yes, we were juniors then, and shortly after returning, two of
