CLASS PROPHECY Icont I Margaret also has two beautnful little gnrls of whom she ns very proud Seenng that Margaret was very happy I wanted to start on my way after hearnng that her brother, Melvnn Whntmore, was nn Las Vegas and owner of the Sands Gambling Casnno After arrnvnng nn Las Vegas and after cleannng up, I went to the Sands There I saw Melvnn wnth all those beautnful gnrls When Melvnn asked me to nonn hnm, nt dndn't take me long to make up my mnnd Melvnn and I had a long tnme to talk, and he told me he had a prosperous busnness and was very wealthy After Iosnng about all of my money I could see why Bnddnng good by to my old pal, I started agann on mY WUY I decnded thns tnme I would go to Texas I soon got there and was walknng around a bng town called Dallas, when I came to the anrport Whnle I was there, a bng passenger plane came nn and much to my surprnse the fnrst person to step off the plane was another schoolmate, Ruth Snlver I met Ruth and we had dnnner together Whnle we were eatnng Ruth told me she was a stewardess for TWA and havnng a wonderful tnme at her 'ob She told me she had an apartment nn New York Cnty where she Inved nn between flnghts Ruth told me on the way down to Dallas from New York she had met a rnch busnness man from Chncago, and the way thnngs looked Ruth wouln t be snngle much longer Ruth's plane was about ready to go agann when she told me she thought that Gene Knngrey was somewhere nn Flornda So I sand good by to Ruth and started for Flornda I was headnng my old Mode' T nn to Mnamn when a bng black Cadnllac pulled along snde wnth four follow the car, but I was well nnto Mnamn before 'me and my old Model T' caught snght of them I soon got the drnver s attentnon and he stopped Sure enough nt was the one and only Gene Knngrey Gene told me he had drnlled for onl nn Texas and had struck nt rnch He sand he now owned a large mansnon here nn Mnamn Seenng my old Model T was qunte a contrast to hns bng black convertnble I decnded to be on my way Whnle gonng through Kentucky, I learned that the Kentucky Derby was on Not wantnng to mnss nt, I went to Churchnll Downs I finally succeeded nn purchasnng a tncket and was lust about to snt down when I looked at the person snttnng besnde me It was none other than Ilene Fnckel, another old classmate Before the race started, Ilene and I had a chance to talk She told me she now owns a racnng stable here nn Kentucky She sand she owned some ofthe best racers nn the state and that one of them was nn the Kentucky Derby whnch was about to start The race soon started , and I watched the horse whnch Ilene sand belonged to her It dndn't take them long to run the race I stayed long enough to congratulate Ilene on her horse wnnnnng the race I started agann on my lourney As I was drnvnng through Washnngton, D C my old car suddenly gave a bang, and smoke started to come from the engnne I ran to the nearest telephone and called the fnre department Pretty soon I heard the clang of the fnre truck bell and was qunte relneved when I saw the fnre engnne come racnng down the street You could nmcngnne how surprnsed I was when I saw who the drnver was It was none other than another classmate, Leron Leazer Leron soon had the fn re out We took my car to the fnre statnon and there Leron and I had a chance to talk He told me he was now Fnre Chnef of Washnngton D C I9 H I . . . . . . . . ,, ,, . . . elm: pzoplecy Ten long years have now passed since the senior class of 55 said farewell on the steps of ole' B H S and I made my solemn vow to visit all my old classmates Not knowing where to start, I headed in the directlop of good ole Batavia, now a big metropolis XM'nIe driving down the mann street of this beautiful city, I found Beverly Wood in front of the Batavia Daily Times Beverly was very busy and didn't have long to talk, for I found that she was editor of the paper and writer of the sports and gossip column Beverly said that she wasn't married yet, but was en goged to the assistant editor of the Times and that the date was not far off Beverly told me she thought that another classmate of ours lived near a small town by the name of Ottumwa So cranking up my old Model T I started on my way After driving for a while I came across a sign which read ' Registered Aberdeen Angus Cattle, the best in the land 3 miles west and and 2 miles south Wondering where these directions would take me, I decided to follow them After a few minutes I stopped my old lalopy rn front of a huge farm house It was a swell looking place, and I thought for sure some rich cattle buyer must own this As my car was about out of water I started for the door, as I got about half way, I suddenly changed my mind for charging for me were two of the biggest dogs I had ever seen Breaking all speed records ever known I climbed the closest tree I was lust realizing how close I had come to being made into hamburger when the door opened and invited me to stay for supper As I was filling my plate for the fourth time, Bull told me that he and Audrey had been haopuly married for some time and that they had sux small children Bill said he was doing very well, and he had the best herd of Angus cattle rn the state I could see Bull was very happy so after thanking them for a delicious supper and after learning that Kay Hill was in Son Francisco California, I started on my way I coaxed my old Model T Into San Francisco I found Kay in the office of the American Steele Co Kay told me she had Inherited the company from her former boss because of her fine work as his private secretary Kay seemed very happy as I learned she was now engaged to the one and only Liberace After their marriage she was going to rom her husband in playing the piano Then, she, Liberace, and George were planhlng to tour the United States and Europe playmg at famous places Thmkmg lt was about time I left, I asked Kay rf she knew where Margaret Whitmore was Kay gave ne the directions, and I soon drove up to a bug movie studio In Hollywood I had to walt as Margaret was busy making her present picture which was said to be another big hit Margaret is now the most popular and beautiful movie star In Hollywood When Margaret got through she took me to her fabulous home and introduced me to her husband who is a movie producer I8 . . , . 0 0 I 0 . CLASS PROPHECY fcont I He sand he was marrred and had twelve children Leron always ded say thlngs were cheaper by the dozen Seemg that Leron was qulte busy I was about to be on my way when he sand he had heard from Marlys Sommer and that she was somewhere an the Belgran Congo As my old Model T had not learned to swam yet I declded to take a boat to Afrlca After getting slrghtly sea suck I was able to enloy my trap I soon landed and contacted a guide to take me Into the lungle After going about IOO males I found I was In dangerous terrutory and was lust about to turn back when we came face to face with a trube of head hunters They took me to then' camp I was about to be made unto soup when I was saved by a young mnssaonary She seemed to know these people very well and soon talked them out of the Idea of maknng a meal of me I soon discovered that the person who had saved my Infe was the person I had been Iookmg for a classmate Marlys Sommer Marlys told me she had been working as a mlssronary for some years and that she loved her work Marlys sand she was engaged to a doctor who Ilved In a nearby village Knowang that Marlys was very busy I decided to get back to CIVIlIZed territory I soon got back to New York where I picked up my old car I decnded I would go down Fifth Avenue and was drlvnng along when my old car suddenly balked I was trying to get It started when a bug police officer came by and told me to move that wreck or he would put me In 'all as I was causnng a traffic lam I soon dlscovered that the polnce offncer was Malo Lee Jr another classmate He helped me to get my car to the garage Then Jr took me to hrs home and Introduced me to hus wnfe, Marlene and their seven chaldren I found out that Jr had been Pollce Chnef of New York Cnty for several years Seemg my lourney was gust about flmshed, I was agam on my way after plckmg up my car I decided to go to Chicago as I heard that Ruthie Frescoln was there When I got to Chicago It drdn't take me long to fund Ruthie I lust looked for the Republlcan Campalgnmg Headquarters and there I found her Ruthue was stull making war on all Democrats and she sand she was runmng for mayor of Chlcago In the next electron I also found Ruthie was marrled and had three chnldren I was very surprased to hear that Ruthle s husband was opposnng her an the coming e lectlon by running as Democratuc candndate for mayor Seemg that things mlght get too llvely for me I decided to be on my way As this IS all of the members of the class of 55 I fund my gourney as over Feeling that I have fulfilled my promnse to my classmates I am now returmng to my Esknmo wufe and my four trained seals In Juneau Alaska 20 . . . . . .
