Junior High Gwaduates ipsg. can-4 I ROW ONE: Patricia Reid, Darlene Ornduff, Arlene Brewington, Marcia Lowenberg, Bill Six. ROW TWO: Mrs. Monison, Larry Ornduff, True Wheeldon, David Hill, Harvey Mccleary, George Day. Eighth Highlights The members of the eighth grade class that were absent when the picture was taken include: Mary Dunne Delbert Sommer Charla Hewitt Gordon Christey Marilyn Giltner Shirley Mitchell Of the above group, six entered the primary grade and have spent practically their entire time in this school. Darlene entered the second grade. Arlene moved to Libertyville and attended school while in the third grade but returned to Batavia before the end of the year. True Wheeldon enrolled with this class during the fourth grade. Mrs. Evelyn Ward was the teacher Larry Ornduff joined our ranks during the fifth year. Ms. Mariam Salts was the teacher. George Day came from the Packwood School to ours during the last half of the seventh grade. During our eighth grade, six new members were added to our class roll. They were Gordon Christey, who came here from Central America, spent two months with us and then went on to Karachi, Pakistan: Marilyn Giltner, Nbry Dunne and Delbert Sommer from the rural schoolsf and Charla Hewitt and Shirley Mitchell, who were transferred here from Springfield, Ohio. This class enioyed basketball with Mr. Harold Fleming as coach, and are looking forward to the tournament at l-ockridge, iowa. This group presented two one-act plays at the close of the year. They were: Uncle Tom's Crabbin ' and Father Says 'No '. Their teacher, Mrs. Ethel Nlorrison, directed the plays.
