Class History ln the year 1941, we find the Senior Class of 54 preparing themselves for a rocket-ship flight to the moon which will take a total of 13 years. We will keep you informed as we go from planet to planet who the passengers are and who was left behind or transferred. Our rocket-ship is launched at Batavia landing field. As it is nearing the time when we will leave, we find the following passengers climbing into their seats and adiusting their safety belts: Dick Campbell, Harley McCleary, Joanne Webb, Barbara Six, and as we stop at a refueling station in the latter part of the year we pick up James McNiel and Nancy Walker. Mrs. Hilda Coleman is our pilot. When we reach planet No. l942, our passengers are somewhat different. We find Dick Campbell, Harley McCleary, Joanne Webb, Barbara Six, James McNiel and Nancy Walker. We add Betty Bell, Gladys Sickels, Jimmy Bell and Johnny Kuzmicki. Mrs. Ruth Salts is our pilot. As we reach Planet No. I943, we find that Betty Bell, Gladys Sickels, Johnny Kuzmicki and Jimmy Bell have moved while we have a new face, Ronald Coffin. Mrs. Ruth Salts is still our pilot. Wl1en we reach planet No. l944, we find that we have lost one, Ronald Coffin, and gained two, who.are Joanne Abernathy and Ronald Berrier, also David Allen who ioins us the latter part of the year. We have a new pilot, Miss Frances Armstrong. As we continue on our iourney, we reach planet No. 1945. We find one new passenger, -lUniCe MC-1l0f Wl I0 ioins us later in the year. Miss Frances Armstrong is still our pilot. At planet Na. I946, we find at the first of the year that Ronald Berrier has moved, and Phyllis Miller has ioined us. During the latter part of the year, we add several new passen- gers. They are Patty Dale, Patricia Heiden, Harriet Schermerhorn, Sylvia Schermerhorn and Dwight Cochran. This brings our class to a total of 14. They are: Joanne Abernathy, David Allen, Janice Nklior, Harley McCleary, James McNiel, Barbara Six, Nancy Walker, Joanne Webb, Phyllis Miller, Patty Dale, Patricia Heiden, Harriet Schermerhorn, Sylvia Schermerhorn, and Dwight Cochran. Mrs. Mary Louise Whitham is our pilot. As we reach planet ND. 1947, we still find more new faces. They are Martha Jane Bowne, Geneive Millhouse, and Myra Chapman. Harriet and Sylvia Schermerhorn and Patty Dale leave us. Our pilot is Mrs. Anna Lou Laughlin. IO

CLASS HISTORY fcon't.l Wnen we reach planet No. 1948, we find our passenger list still enlarging. Although Geneive Millhouse and Myra Chapman have left us, Tommy Curray and Ernest Fite ioin usp and also Willa Ramsey and John Whitmore come to see us in the latter part of the year. Mrs. Ethel Morrison is our pilot. At planet NJ. I949, we find only one new face, Kathryn Mairet who ioins us later in the year. This brings our class to a total of l6 as we are only 4 planets away from our destin- ation. Our class includes: Joanne Abernathy, David Allen, .lanice Maior, Harley McCleary, Patricia Heiden, Willa Ramsey, Ernest Fite, Martha Jane Bowne, Dwight Cochran, Janes McNiel, Phyllis Miller, Barbara Six, Nancy Walker, Joanne Webb, John VW1itmore and Kathryn Mairet. Mrs. Ethel Morrison' is still our pilot this year. We are nearing the end of our iourney as we reach planet No. l950, where we find one new passenger, James Davis. Ernest Fite, who leaves us at the first of the year, comes back to ioin us at the end of the year. lHe becomes lonesome., We find also that Nklrtha Jane Bowne has been transferred. Our pilots are M-s, Myrtle Black, Mr. Wallace Kunzman, Mr. Harold Fleming, and Mu Harry Wood. As we reach planet bb. l95l, we find no new passengers but we lose two, Patricia Heiden and Ernest Fite who leave the latter part ofthe year. Mrs. Myrtle Black, Nr. Lloyd Ruby, Mr. Wallace Kunzman, Mr. Harold Fleming, and Mu Harry Wood are our pilots. At planet No. l952, we pick up another passenger, Bob Briggsg also David Allen leaves us, and lda Luke joins us and leaves us during this time. Our pilots are Ms. Myrfle Bl0Ck1 IW. Wallace Kunzman, Mr. Harold Fleming, Mr. Charles Kunzman, Mr. Lloyd Ruby, and Mr. Harry Wood. Last, but not least, we reach planet No. l953-54. Our passenger list remains the same with the exception of Willa Ramsey, who drops out. The ones who have reached their des- tination are: Joanne Abernathy, Dwight Cochran, Harley McCleary, James McNiel, Barbara Six, Nancy Walker, Joanne Webb, Tommy Curray, James Davis, Kathryn Mairet, Janice Major, Bob Briggs and John VW1itmore. This brings the Senior Class of 54 to a total of l3. The ones who have attended school at Batavia all l3 years are: James Mc Niel, Joanne Webb, Nancy Walker, Barbara Six and l'larley McCleary.
