Mr. W. C. Hohmann. and Mr. S. G. Lucky. The Mu Sigma Honor Society was organized in our school in May of 1941, and since that time, it has become one of the most active organizations on the campus. One of the most outstanding projects of the members is the annual Mardi Gras Ball. The purpose of the society is to promote scholarship, and each year a 3100 scholarship is awarded to a qualified senior who planns to become a teacher. In order to be eligible for the Mu Sigma, a student must maintain a B average for five consecutive semesters. He must also possess certain other char- acteristics, such as leadership and high moral standards.
