The 1985 school year found a stu- dent body that was on the move. Stu- dents were active in sports, clubs, and organizations, and each worked to- ward their own individual academic goals. The student body was headed by one of the smallest senior classes in recent history. Size never made much difference to this class, however. Their achievements both academically and in the extracurricular area were great. The Class of 1985 certainly brought truth to the words little but mighty. Administration and faculty kept on the move in attempts to keep the school on a path of improvement and development. Steps were taken to build on to the grade school so as to provide more room at the high school. On these pages you will find a group of unique people working, learning, playing, and achieving as they step out into 1985 ... The parade was then followed by a bar-b-que held in the “Pumpkin Patch in front of the school. The bar-b- que was a joint effort of the Junior Class and Communi- ty Education. The events came to a close with the Bobcats overtaking the Cardinals in a 16-0 final score. The Homecoming Dance with the theme of “Harvest Moon” was held in the high school gym the following Saturday and was sponsored by Student Council. Mu- sic was provided by Gemini Productions. THE JUNIOR CLASS PRESENTS HARVEY During a Friday evening perfor- mance, the Junior Class presented “Harvey.” The play concerns itself with the vivid imagination of Elwood P. The members worked long hours in the conces- sion stand at the home wrestling matches and basketball games. There is a lot of work involved in running the concession stand. The students have to order supplies, decide on a price, sell the product, and clean up afterward. The members earn credits which allow them to take part in the annual field trip. This year the Science Club went to the Current River area in southeastern Missouri. On the trip, they explored geological caves and springs while backpacking and canoeing. The money earned was also used for the Sci- ence Fair and to buy equipment for the science room. Science Club is sponsored by Sara Booth and Art Wells.
