Classes Can Be Fun AT RIGHT: The snow covered parking lot that we all hate to walk through on the way to class. In winter it's snow and spring it's mud. One way BHS students show their individuality is through the kind of car they drive. MIDDLE: Ena McIntosh and Esther Cox are making their prints on stencils for the Breeze. BOTTOM RIGHT: Drama students lana Campbell, Denise DeMaranville, lulie Foley, and Delynn Lav- vom are trying out their skills with stage makeup. BOTTOM LEFT: Remember the day we all prayed for more snow so we could get out early?

Track During the fall of '74 and through '75 several construction jobs were underway at BHS. Pictured on these two pages are the new Jr. High and new high school track. Pictured below is an aerial view of the track. It was built through the efforts of the Booster Club and coaches. It is made of asphalt and was poured and lev- eled with volunteer work. The lines were not painted when the aerial picture was taken, but the high jump area can be seen behind the football goal posts on the north end. The track also includes a vaulting area. The cost was approximately $8,000. The middle picture shows the lanes and high jump area. Top picture shows that long straight- way. The Jr. High and HS are in adjoining buildings connected by a glass enclosed hallway. The new Library, Music, Shop and PE facilities are shared. This was the last year for separation of grades 7 and 8 from 9 to 12. All the construction will make an even better year for '76 students.

Students and Teachers Display Talent AT LEFT: Elaine Smith grimaces during the Junior Play. Students have an opportunity to express their talents through acting. It requires a good memory, though, to remember all those lines and what to do, when! MIDDLE: The Junior High and Senior High Faculty men played in a bas- ketball game to help raise money for the B-Club projects. Looks like they are really sweating it out. BELOW: The school plays an important part in the life of students and residents of Basehor. Many community members support the high school even though their children have graduated or are in the lower grades. Evidence of this support is the new track, shown in the right foreground and the new Junior High, left center (in progress).
