It is a genuine pleasure to greet you students of Basehor High through the medium of the pages of your annual and to wish you success and happiness in the years ahead. It is my earnest hope that the problems you have had to cope with in school, both in the classroom and in the activity fields in which you have participated, have developed in you an ability to deal effectively with the problems of life and with the demands which will be made upon you. I also hope that as the years go by your recollections of the days spent here at Basehor High will be as pleasant as I am sure that the perusal of the pages of this book will be. Sincerely, W. L. Kiester, Principal

Left to rightt W. L. Kiester, Principal; Ed Williams, Clerk; J. W. Kenton, Director; and Myron Keeslar, Treasurer. 0ngratulations to the graduating class The Board of Education wishes to congratulate the Class of '58, the fiftieth class to graduate from on the milestone you have reached in your live8. We wish to express our appreciation and gratitude to the many fine teachers and parents who have worked together through the years to produce keen, intelligent, alert boys and girls equipped with the fundamentals which will enable them to take their proper places in society as useful, worthwhile, productive citizens; a credit to themselves, their home, and their school. It is indeed a joy and a pleasure to be of service to an institution which strives to render an efficient and worthwhile program to the community which it serves. The Class of '58 can take its place proudly and with honor in the long list of distinguished and illustrious groups which have received their diplomas and are now witnesses of B.H.S. We would like to commit to you for very serious consideration the words of Van Dyke, who once said: Four things a man mu3t learn to do if he would make his record true: To think without confusion clearly; To love his felloumen sincerely; To act from honest motives purely; To trust in God and Heaven securely.
