INTERROBANG: The student’s own The INTERROBANG, student newspaper of BCCJC, began publication October 16, 1969. Following basically an eight-page format, the paper is published every two weeks, excepting vacations, on Thursdays. The newspaper, printed entirely on campus in the school print shop, attempts to provide the news of the col lege to the students and supporters of the school, as well as an assortment of editorials, col¬ umns, and features, including plentiful pictorial coverage of campus activities. Under the direction of the first managing editor, Sandra Lynn Corbitt, the INTERRO¬ BANG developed during the course of the year into an intregal part of college I i fe. The name, INTERROBANG, comes from a punctuation mark which is a combination of a question mark (interro) and an ex¬ clamation point ( bang in printer ' s jar¬ gon). It is meant to symbolize the news function of a newspaper through the ex¬ clamation point, and the questioning, in¬ vestigative function through the question mark. (5) Nancy Lindholm, News Editor, spends some time in the print shop.
