“CLASS WILL We, the Class of 1953 of Bartlett High School, do hereby make and declare this to be our last will and testament, in form and manner as follows To the entire school we leave the example we have set as worthy scholars and blameless students Our record has been spotless emu im ll the annals of our career we have done no deed, as a class, that we need blush for To the community at large we bequeath the influence we have been for the honorable and better things of life the interest in music, in local dramatics, in debating activities, in charl able drives all these have COHtPlbUC8Q to the development of the cultural spirit and in all we have taken part and done our share To the Junior Class we bestow our richest treasures Almost too numerous to mention are these same treasures and when the lower classmen hear the recital of rare legacies which fall to their possession, we scarcely expect them to bear up under the shock Our Senior dignity, our excelling wit, our superlative brll liancy, our good looks, our charming manners, our favor with the teachers, our splendid grades and our triumphant exit as the most popular class this school has ever seen these are he rare treasures that we hand down to the coming Senior Class But it would not be fair we withheld other valuables and with great largeness of heart we pass them along, too Our capacity for fun, our ability to giggle, our good times, our friendship and our loyalty we hereby bequeath to the Junior Class, and may they count them among the richest of the legacies they have received And now we come to the following personal bestowals which have been awarded to individuals with complete consideration to the fitness of the recipient To Clifford Sapp we present this worm He has the book so now the royal title of bookworm is his and long may he wear it with all due honor and as magni ficiently as it has been worn by Cl de Law To Mary Ortman, Doris Jean McClain wills her big brown eyes, so that s e may use them to flirt and get the atten tion of the boys Miles Thomas hereby presents William Oliver with a brain so that he may use it in future history classes To Arlene Chenoweth, Joanne Ladd wills her nimble fingers and trusts that she may use them in her attempt to play the piano Ann deekley wills her well groomed hair to Ina Law and hopes she wHl ders of Larry Place, You'1l get that second look from the women now, Denver lly Mayle wills her height to Alma Sheets making the boys look a second time in order to see her Digkig McAtge wills his false teeth to Mary Ann Keg, brush ing off the nickname 'Rabbltu Dwight Tate wills his ability to act funny and not get caught to Lanng Keneyg Dorothi Ldnscott presents her pierced ears to Greta Custer, They are cheaper than the other kind, Greta To Allan Law, Cecil gal presents his freckles, so that the few he now has will not be few and far between Dicg McGraw presents his ability to get Janet Cozzens to Georgg Shumar knowing that George is trustworthy Jean Welch gets Ruth Mayle's ability to be an efficient office girl hoping she will keep Mr Nr1ght's office ln tip-'op condition Nancy Carotnerg presents her manner of wearing clothes to Sgra Job g knowing that she will alwavs be well groomed for Denny Arnold Madlyn H111 wills her dimples to anvone who can use them as she does Janet Graham wills her cheerleading ability to Kaye Clark hoping she can use it her last five years in school Dave Stephens presents his red hair to Roger Immel and trusts he will use it to his advantage In witness whereof, we attach the signatures of the class of 1953 if L'-fe-J 91l4jil'14fZZ Lqlfmel D .
