glands fe Being filled with anxiety and curiosity the future class of '52 entered high school on August 31 1948 with an enrollment of twenty four students During the course of the year we lost Judy Whitney, who was replaced by Louise Cooper and Wilma Clester Our class officers were elected as follows President Gordon Seooy Vice President Jack Ingram Secretary Lakin Kee Treasurer Roger Minerd News Reporter Eleanor Greenleaf There were two Freshmen on the varsity basketball squad, namely, Gordon Secoy and Roger Miners Jack Ingram, Lakin Kee, Harley Honesty, and Wayne Ransom were on the Junior high basketball squad The Freshmen basketball team won the Intra Mural Tournament Those elected for the Pep Club were Sue Bowman, Judy Whitney, and Carolyn H111 The Freshmen Party was held on November 19, 1948 The summer rolled around very rapidly On August 31 1949 we entered the halls of Bartlett High School again as Sophomores We were sorry to find that we had lost two of our class members, Wanda Lauer and Wilma Clester W started with twenty two members and gained five, Marie Dalton, Darrell Stephenq Bill Cowan, Harold Anderson, and Bob Boston The officers elected this year were President Jack Ingram Vice President Gordon Secoy Secretary Louise Cooper Treasurer Eleanor Greenleaf News Reporter Lakin Kee Class Advisor Mrs Williams Sue Bowman, Carolyn Hill, and Eleanor Greenleaf were chosen for the Pep Club Louise Cooper was elected cheerleader On November 19, 1949 we held our Sophomore Party. During the course of the year we lost one member, Marie Dalton, who moved to Zanesville, Ohio On September l, 1950 we entered the halls of Bartlett High School as Juniors with Mr. Cooper acting as our class advisor. The following girls were chosen as members of the Pe Club Eleanor Green- leaf, Sue Bowman, and Carolyn hill Dolores Biffle was elected as a cheer leader During the earlier part of the year hr Cooper resigned his position as teacher Later he was replaced by Mrs Klracofe We selected our class play the name being 'There Goes the Bride N The time finally rolled around for the Junior Senior Bancuet, our theme being an Ole Fashion Garten It was he1O on the evening of Mav 5 We feel sure that the Seniors and all the guests enjoyed a very oleasant evening On September 3 1951 we enteref Bartlett High School as 'Dignlfied Senior! with an enrollment of twenty students Later Richard Harris withdrew from school leaving us nineteen seniors Our class officers 8186386 for this year we e as follous Vice President Louise Cooper Secretary Sue Bowman Treasurer Eleanor Greenleaf News Reporter Maxine Bailey Class Advisor Mr Custer Cheerleader Sue Bowman The Senior Party, held on October 19, 1951 at the high school gym, was a Hobo Party Everybody came dresser as hoboes and we served Mulligan Stew for refreshments The evening was spent playing games and square dancing On the evening of Novemoer 12 1951 we sponsored Toby Stroud and his Blue Mountain Boys direct from Wheeling, West Virginia Our class olay was held March 6 and 7, the title of our clay being 'Meet My Wives ' On May ll, 1952 at the Bartlett Methodist Church we had our Baccalaureate service Ae May 16 rolled around we seniors knew this was our final day, Commence ment, the day proved of being everything me expected it o be Judge Verner Metcalf was our guest speaker and Mr Fred Arnold President of the Board of Education presented our diplomas , 4 v p : , A President . . . . . . . . . .Carolyn H111 .
