FOREWORD THE 1952-1953 SCHOOL YEAR HAS BEENAGOOD ONE. AS EACH YEAR PASSES WE SEE OUR ERRORS AND TRY TO ELIMINATE THEM IN THE SUCCEEDING YEARS. THROUGHACAREFUL STUDY WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS AS WE MOVE ONWARD. IT IS WITH SOME SADNESS THAT WE SEE EACH SENIOR CLASS GRADUATE, YET THERE IS ALSO PLEASURE IN OUR KNOWLEDGE THAT IT IS ANXIOUS TO MOVE FORWARD INTO NEW FIELDS OF ENDEAVOR. SO LONG AS BARSTOW HIGH SCHOOL IS ABLE TO MAINTAIN THE HIGH STAND- ARDS IT HAS SET IN SCHOOL SPIRIT, SPORTSMANSHIP, CHARACTER DEVELOP- MENT, AND SCHOLASTIC ATTAINMENT WE CAN ALL BE PROUD TO HAVE BEEN A PART OF IT. WE HAVE MUCHOF WHICH TO BE PROUD IN BARSTOW HIGH SCHOOL. LET US BE THANKFUL FOR WHAT HAS BEEN DONE IN THE PAST AND MAY WE EVER STRIVE TO MAKE EACH YEAR A BETTER ONE.
