Prophecy Hello, this is Gina Dye reporting for the Today Show We are here in Barry, Illinois to cover the dedication of Tiger Football Stadium The stadium is being dedicated to the Barry High School graduating class of 1985 You may ask, “Why dedicate the stadium to the class of 1985 when the year is 1995? ’ Ill tell you why. It all began three years ago when the famous millionaire DALE ROBBINS decided he wanted to do something worthwhile for his hometown We asked Dale why he decided on a football stadium. He said that the Tigers needed a new stadium, and what better place to build it than in Barry. The first game at the new stadium will be the Barry Tigers vs. the Houston Oilers MARK NATION is the star quarterback for the Tigers. He has been in the National Football League for five years We all remember Mark’s playing baseball and basketball in high school, but now he is a success in football too. MELEAH MCKENZIE was put in charge of contacting the entire class of 1985 and inviting them to the dedication. Meleah was the best choice for the job because she has connections with the government Meleah has been honored with a medal of bravery, honor, and truth. As far as we know, she has been a spy for the entire ten years since high school. I wonder if she worked for the government while she was in high school! In the middle of town we found a new entertainment house, Tom’s Place. TOM MANARD is the owner of the establishment Tom has improved the night life in Barry by adding many new features. In one corner of Tom’s is a Sumo Platform. Barry’s own pride and joy, ERIC NEWMAN, is the heavyweight Sumo Wrestling Champion. He has held this title ever since the sport was introduced in Barry Center Stage at Tom’s is a runway surrounded by many flood lights and a lot of action. The “main’’ attraction on center stage is TIM MAIN, Barry’s first male stripper. Some of our classmates are well known Americans. Among this group is DAVID MOTLEY The President of the United States has put David in charge of the “Peace Keeping Missile All of us who know David fear he will utter those immortal words. “Nuc them RICK PEILE has won a Nobel Prize for finding an answer to the energy shortage. Rick found a way to manufacture gas. We always knew Rick had it in him!! WAYNE SCRANTON replaced Doc Severnson on the Tonight Show. Wayne is now one of the most famous trumpet players in the While EDIE MCDONALD was attending a baseball game in St. Louis, she met the owner of the St. Louis Cardinals They married just a few weeks later Edie is now co owner of the St. Louis Cards RONNIE LOGSDON was hired to play in that ball club. Ron is now a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. A new restaurant has been built in Barry DENNIS MCDONALD invented a new type of food, it’s calorie free!! Dennis has perfected the food and he is now giving McDonalds some stiff competition with McDonalds II MARSHA NEFF is a coach of a new Olympic sport, mudwrestling. Marsha got connected with the Olympics when she was chosen to play for the Olympic volleyball team. One of Marsha’s star wrestlers is JAMIE ERKE Jamie has won many wrestling matches with her Camel Clutch and Erke Hold. We believe that Jamie has a great chance to win the gold medal in the 19% Olympics We have two racers in our class. SEAN WITTLER has moved up to motor cross racing. Sean had a terrible wreck but he has recovered quickly and will be with us tonight. Our other racer is RON SAXBARY. Ron won the Indianapolis 500 in his famous car, The Brown Hornet. We had to travel quite a ways to find some of our former classmates. We found LISA MILLER at an amusement park in Massachusetts. Lisa built a recreational facility at Cape Cod. JEFF HART was finally found at the White House. Jeff is a night watchman. We asked him why he chose to be a night watchman. He told us that he tried other day jobs, but ever since high school, he can’t get anywhere on time. If he works at night, he has more time to get to work We also found JUDY WINNINGHAM at the White House Judy is an advisor to the President. Ever since high school, Judy has been interested in History and foreign affairs. Thanks to her history teacher, Judy has landed a job with representatives from other countries. RICH SNOW also works for the government. Rich works for the Food and Drug Administration. 1 asked Rich how he got interested in the FDA He said he really got interested his senior year at Barry when he and Art started going to the Jiffy Stop and reading food labels. He couldn’t believe some of the ingredients in the food. USA GILLUM designs Gillum Original Clothes for singers, actresses, and politician’s wives She has one of the most famous lines of clothing in the world. VICKY T1TTSWORTH is a designer too, but she designs a special item Vicky designs bras for women such as Dolly Parton, Lonnie Anderson, and other well endowed women. BARB BAKER has been very successful too. Barb is a Playboy Bunny. She won the title of “Bunny of the Year . We are very proud of Barb’s success RICK HARRIS has not been quite so successful. Rick drives a truck for various companies. He keeps losing jobs because no matter where he was supposed to deliver his cargo, he always winds up in the Ozarks. ART MCNABB became a mortician. Art had a near brush with death when he got excited and accidently injected himself with embalming fluid He did recover quite nicely and will be here for the dedication. SCOTT KUCK will not be able to be here though. Scott had to attend a special meeting of his own. Scott is the leader of the Mid West KKK We had a lot of trouble finding UNDA MCNARY We finally found Linda with the Barnum and Bailey Circus. It was hard for us to believe that she is the fat lady of the circus, but it’s true — she weights 350 pounds Prince and the Revolution will be singing at the dedication of the stadium tonight. Ever since SHERRY BENTON saw Prince in concert, she has been hooked on his music. Sherry replaced Wendy of the Revolution. They are now on their way to many gold records. It was hard to believe that we would have to go to a convent to find JODY KIRBY, but it is true. Jody has been a nun for quite some time. She told us that shE got the call nght after high school She says the main thing she wants to teach people to do is keep their tempers. Temperence, she feels is the most important virtue. TERRY KUNTZ was the hardest alumni to find. Terry is a Safari Hunter. We couldn’t get the message to Terry about the dedication because he is on a big game hunt in Africa. Well, once again this has been Gina Dye reporting from Tiger Football Stadium. 75 writers: GINA DYE BARB BAKER 76 Congratulations to the class of 1985 and Arthur McNabb our future Funeral Director McNabb Funeral Home - 78 Gully Insurance Agency J.
