Jeff Hoskin reported lost at sea. The “Moon All Underwear Department Store” has been sued for causing the heart attacks of many customers, because owner and operators Lisa Cruttenden and Anne Winner have been promoting their store by mooning customers. The Editorial for today is the story of a high school classmate of mine. Michael Johnson “World’s Toughest Man”, was in the hospital for a brain tumor. The tumor was caused by burning of the flesh. It is known that Mike had been going around the world proving his toughness by putting cigerette lighters to his forehead. I was notified by J.L. Dye, owner of the largest zoo in South Africa, of Mike’s condition. On hearing about Mike, I decided to contact all of the Class of '84 Mary McDannald was easy to find because she is a doctor at Barry General Hospital. She is known for her famous research on monkeys. She helped in the treating of Michael. On my way home from work, I drove by “Snyder’s Goat Farm” and found Teresa Snyder feeding her goats. I asked her if she knew the whereabouts of any classmates. She told me that Rosemary Campbell lived down the road. I went to see Rosemary and found her and her husband, Danny, feeding pigs and I also saw little Howdy Doody babies running all around. While talking to Rosemary, she told me that she does all her shopping at the K E Market, which is now owned by Bill Miller. Later that evening I went to the Barry Home Systems Computer Company to talk to owner Todd Smith. While walking into the building I ran into Martha Tittsworth. She is a computer operator at B.H.S.C.C. I asked her if Todd was in and she said that he was at the Chippendale Club talking to owner Dena Motley, while she was in town on business. I went to Chippendale’s to talk to them. I couldn’t believe what I saw when I walked in! There was shy” George Stearns dancing in front of millions of girls. I spotted Dena and Todd at a table. I sat down at the table and told Dena how shocked I was to see George. She said, Wait till you see the next dancer! He is our latest recruit.” To my surprise, out came Charlie Kendall. While telling them about Mike, I found out that Dena already knew. Dena said she was there when he arrived. The reason was because she was visiting Linda Hively. I asked what was wrong with Linda? She said Linda was in the hospital becasue she “Still can’t stop her leg. Todd and I decided to go see Linda and Mike the next day. The next morning when going to pick up Todd, my car broke down. I took it to the nearest garage. There I saw Tim Swartz and he told me that he was the head mechanic. I called Todd and he came and picked me up. We decided to stop for breakfast at McDonald’s. We walked in and saw someone standing in the corner. It was Lisa McTucker. She told us that she had been standing there for three days, she asked us if we would sneak her a Big Mac We told here that it wouldn’t be right since she was in trouble. Lisa said that it wouldn’t hurt anything because people had been doing it for her the past three days. When we arrived at the hospital Angela Stockton was behind the admission desk. Angela told us that Linda and Michael were both on the 5th floor. She also told Todd and I that classmate Bobbie Boren had been brought in, because when teaching the new members of her “Stock Car Fan Club” a new cheer she fell off the bleachers. Angela said that Bobbie had been treated and released. 86 We got on the elevator and there was Lisa Frohn. I asked her if she was a nurse but she wouldn’t say anything. When we arrived at Mike’s room, we asked what Lisa Frohn was doing. Mike said, “I guess she’s my nurse, Lisa keeps giving me shots but never says anything.” While we were visiting, the telephone rang. It was the agent of Miss Universe 2004, Sarah Reynolds, calling to say that Sarah would have come to visit but they couldn’t find her because she is lost in her wardrobe. Linda Hively walked in to tell Mike that Mary Ehlert had called and said she couldn't come by to visit because she was on her way to Los Angeles for the World Cup Mud Wrestling Championship. Linda also brought a telegram from the Soviet Union. It was from Robert McNabb and Susan Howard. It said, “they send their best and they will see us when Robert has finished killing all the communists, or when Susan’s get away car runs out of gas, which ever comes first. Mark Oitker and Kennan Fagan dropped in for a short visit. They told us they were looking for clients for their Fine Individual Dating Service.” It seems they have been having problems with their clients. They have their motto “We Test for the Best” but the clients have not been living up to the service’s standards. Before Mark and Kennan left they handed us the paper and told us to look at their new ad. While looking at the paper, we saw many of our classmates’ names in the sports page. We saw that Greg Motley had made the highest points for his basketball team. The Boston Celtics. We also saw that Danny Ward would soon be out of a job because Rita Miller had bought all the major league baseball teams and is turning them into softball teams. Our friend David Guthrie once again made front page headlines. He won the Nobel Peace Prize in Science for disproving the law of gravity, but he was unable to attend the banquet in his honor because he is floating off to the moon. Also on the front page was Scott Furniss. It seems that Scott set fire to his reconstruction company. After reading the paper we turned on the television. Talking on “60 Minutes’ were Scott Armistead and Kevin Foster. They were speaking about the evils of drinking and driving. Scott and Kevin had two prime examples of how people can change. With them were Donny Stice and Jimmy Miller, who are now police officers. Before we left, the doctors came and told Michael that he had made a remarkable recovery and could leave the hospital the next day. We told Mike that we would come and take him home. As we were leaving the hospital, we saw Lori Constable standing in the parking lot with her toys. We asked her what she was doing and she said “I can’t find my car!” The next day, those of us who could, went to see Michael released. As we were walking out the door, in walked Jeff Hoskins Mike said, “I thought you were lost at sea.” Jeff replied, “No, just late. Everyone exclaimed, “As usual.” 87 This is Dave Lee signing off for WBHS 1984. 88 Oitkcr Ford Sales Terry Oitker - Owner Manager Best Wishes 1984 Graduates from Terry Oitker and Employees 89 Congratulations Class of ’84 J t HUM.
