Miss Marilyn Campbell, history teacher, is a newcomer to Barry High School. She is a grad- uate of Southern Illinois University, Edwards- ville campus, and is familiar with our area as she is a native of Pearl. Miss Campbell spon- sored several trips the Problems class took dur- ing the year to the Pittsfield courthouse and the State Hospital in Jacksonville. Student Current Events quizzes were a standard in the history classes. The U.S. History and World History classes terminated the year by doing lengthy re- search on their assigned term papers. Team captains Roger Moody and Carol Bridgewater wait to see which side will be able to answer the next question as Miss Campbell reads the Student Current Events questions to the class. 21

Jim was aided by Mr. Jacobs and Mrs. Fagan, the science instructors, and received four 1st place trophies an outstanding rating at the State Science Fair. Many other students participated in the Science Fairs and received many high ratings. 23
