Our devoted Math teacher, Mr. Lawr- ence Henderson, arrives on the scene early and stays late to avail his ser- vices to any student. His subject field ranges from fundamental math to in- volved mathematics and Trig. The first semester the Trig class made a large chart of the sine, cosine, and tangent curves, and also made in- dividual ones for their personal use. These tables were used at various times throughout the year to aid the stu- dents in their assignments. 20

Miss Marilyn Campbell, history teacher, is a newcomer to Barry High School. She is a grad- uate of Southern Illinois University, Edwards- ville campus, and is familiar with our area as she is a native of Pearl. Miss Campbell spon- sored several trips the Problems class took dur- ing the year to the Pittsfield courthouse and the State Hospital in Jacksonville. Student Current Events quizzes were a standard in the history classes. The U.S. History and World History classes terminated the year by doing lengthy re- search on their assigned term papers. Team captains Roger Moody and Carol Bridgewater wait to see which side will be able to answer the next question as Miss Campbell reads the Student Current Events questions to the class. 21
