YR-RAB BARRY HIGH SCHOOL BARRY, ILLINOIS Alice Veiga Co-Editor Don Arnold Co-Editor Mr. Bob Moore Sponsor As the door opens to another year, and the classes start, we find ourselves participating in four phases of our ed- ucation: academic, social, athletic, and ex- tracurricular activities. Each phase brings us in contact with new experiences. For the Freshmen, there are the new experiences of pep assemblies, inter-school passes, tardy slips, and a few dances. The Sophomores, veterans of one year, appear a little more sure of themselves ana begin to take on some responsibilities. The Juniors are at last upperclassmen and they realize that this title carries duties as well as privileges. They fulfill these well in their projects such as the play and the Prom. However, for the Seniors it is a year of joys and sorrows and they will soon have only memories to look back on. They pass from the Senior play to the Prom, then to final exams and at last to class day and graduation. As the door closes, an impor- tant part of their life is left behind. But for them, as for all of us, these experiences on the following pages have found a place in our life’s never-ending destination. THIS IS YOUR YR-RAB. ENJOY IT FOR A LIFETIME Seniors ’65 Mr. Jones at the door of H. S. Within these buildings and within these pages is contained the account of the days we spent at Barry Public School. Only when we look back to these full days of living, working, and playing together, will we realize their true value. It is to help you in your remembering that we give you this YR-Rab of 1965. Miss Leeds at the Grade Bldg. YR-Rab Staff Mr. Jones re- laxing after day Faculty Judging dress up day. Barbara Hughes Larry Lewton Fresh- men Toni Pryor Charles Dolbeare Juniors SENIOR DRESS UP DAY The students and faculty member who appears on this page was selected as the best dressed individuals at B.H.S for the year of 1964-65. Miss Mary Myers Junior Sponsor Good-Luck Underclassmen next year and may the com- petition be strong. Srs. of 65 Karen Steers Mike Wheelan Sophomores Linda Elliott John Moyer Seniors ADMINISTRATION A dministration The Administration is constantly striving to bring to full reality the promise afforded by Barry High School. By gaining the fullest cooperation between faculty and students, we seek to extend the horizon of opportunities for each student, thus assuring th.e development of desirable knowledge, useful skills, good habits and attitudes, and ideals in keeping with the American Way of Life. DEDICATION Miss Mary Myers Junior Sponsor 1964-1965 As a means of thanking Miss Mary Myers for the four years of hard work and unselfish devotion to our class we wish to dedicate the Yr-Rab of 1965. We are extremely grateful for her encouragement and enthusiasm at the times when our zeal was gone. She has helped to make our work enjoyable, and we trust that this volume will be a reminder of her many years at B.H.S. 8 FACULTY Bill Hellyer COACH B.A., Eureka College, U. of I. Out of this chaos came order and the 1965 YR-RAB. A book such as this would not be possible without the help Of many individuals. A special thanks to the administration and faculty for their cooperation when we had to interrupt their classes for pictures. The aid we received from our staff members made our work easier and more pleasant. Our thank you's could not be complete without expressing special gratitude to Blankenbergs Studio in Macomb for providing us with the many pictures which appear throughout this book. We hope you enjoy your 1965 YR-RAB as much as we have en- joyed being its editors and sponsor. 89 •t « m ' % $ asss SENIORS Leaving all of our memories behind us, we proceed from the doors of learning into fhe wide, wide world.
