A WORD ABOUT THE YR-RAB In the year 1919 a group of nine Barry High School Seniors produced the first volume of the Yr-rab. It was sponsored by the senior class. Charles Pad git t was editor-in-chief and Mrs. Edna Fiscus was advisor. The book sold for SI.25. Mf. layo Flick, bu; in .- manager of tin Yr-rab. has solicited thirtv- four pages of advertising. Tiifl W i' »V» »- GRADUATION—1919 The dedication reads: ‘To our graduates who have served and are now serving their country in the war for freedom, the seniors of ' 19 gratefully dedicate this ‘Pioneer' volume of the Yr-rab.' The annual gave a good deal of space to the Alumni Association, which had been organized some years before. It listed all B.ll.S. graduates through 1918, numbering 254. This was the for- tieth year that a class had been graduated. The only years when no classes were graduated were 1881 and 1899. The first Baccalaureate service was held in 1889.
