To Miss Sterner and Mr. Sanders: January 1941. One wintry day four years ago great winds swept across the threshold of Barringer a new crop of children, shivering and awed. We were divided and placed in the hands of several gra- cious teachers, to grow and increase in stature and in wisdom. You were among those teachers. During three years you watched as we developed from children to more mature young people. With a kindly smile or an occasional frown you patiently guided and corrected us. We were glad that you, who have been our friends from the beginning, were chosen to guide us in our last and most im- portant year. Now you watch us, seniors, leave, and a new crop of children enter. You watch another grown family set out into the world and a new one come to be fostered and reared. But to us there is only the one family, and the impressions made here will ever be with us. Our feeling of gratitude cannot be ex- pressed by mere words of thanks. We can only say.................. we will never forget. THE CLASS OF JANUARY 1941
