To Mrs. Honcocktheclcssof 1951 dedicofes this Revue. -.f 9 41.1 , A. l 4 H L SM SUPERINTENDENT Mr Smith came to Henderson in 1947 to take over the role of pilot in our school system He has been active in the field of education ever since he received his Master s Degree in Education fromColum bra University When Mr Smith became pilot in the Henderson schools he took upon himself the many problems of a city with inadequate schools He has worked ture lessly for the betterment of our schools CU-Plllll MR. ARCHIE S. RIEHL PRINCIPAL For twenty-four years Archie Riehl has been at Barret. He first came to Henderson after graduating from Shurtleff College. Later he received his Master's Degree from the University of Indiana. He was coach until 1938, when he became co-pilot of our Rocket Ship to Success Mr. Riehl has always striven to give Barret students the best that the circum- stancesallow. Asa resultof his continuous efforts for the improvement of our school, the passengers of our ship are better prepared to continue their iourney to success. 15 MR. UUHUHHTIUH Each year Barrett crowns a king and queen chosen fronn the Junior Class to reign during their senior year. Every iunior is eligible inthe election. Each student votes his choice and the tour girls and four boys with the highest number of votes be come nominees and are voted on in afinal elec- tion. The identity of the king and queen is un- known until the procession to the throne begins. They are the last to enter. The past king and queen crown the newly elected ones who lead the first dance of the Cor- onation Ball . This dance is one ofthe outstanding events of the year and is enjoyed by all who par- ticipate. ln the Spring of l95O, Wilda O'Nan and Roy Pressley were crowned King and Queen of Barrett High.
